Not a fan. Don't like the new typeface, the size, rules separating columns, etc. Shame.

They still haven't got rid of those shitty photographers cards at the back. They're a pet hate.

Anybody noticed how bad the writing in Grafik is? It quite often looks lovely, but the words... not good. Need to hire some more heavyweight writers - it tries to be serious but the content doesn't back it up.
- most designers just scan magazines and don't bother reading themclearThoughts

I like it overall, but why square? I've never liked square format. Wasteful, ungainly, no relation to organic forms. It's a contrived shape, more fit for logo work than page proportions.

I like some parts but not others, it'll be interesting to see it's development when new type choices become available from the St Bride type archive.

I don't see how a new design is going to make it better. It's still mostly adverts. Shame.
- +100 adverts.Carl_Weathers
- Yup, this is why I'm ready to chuck it in, though I don't know of any alternatives at a similar price :(rascuache

so much better going back to "creative review" than CR - type looks gorgeous.

meh... it's all so rehashed 70s stylee... s'pose that reflects the zeitgeist tho...
- PIZZA0
the whole few back pages are a fucking shanty town

How about Eye magazine for an alternative?
http://www.eyemagazine.com/home.…- oh cool, I always remembered Eye as being like £15 per issue? I might switch to Eye. Grafik is £9 ffs...rascuache
- oh lame, I just realised it's quarterly...rascuache
- What a f***in horrible website!HomeCreative

Plus ca change, plus ce la meme chose.
Maybe they should concentrate a little more on the content.
- ckentish0
I defy anyone to not like that - lovely... yep slightly retro but still lovely and much better than CR

I have not brought creative review for years, the last copy I got had more adverts then content. Not that bothered about the redesign, and going to a smaller size seems a backward move. But the real reason I have not brought CR is because the magazine always seem to concentrate on Print design then web.
- you really haven't read it - shit loads of digital stuff in it over last 10 yearsckentish
- web design is just an offshoot of real design, I mean, print design ... often with less design than geekerymonospaced
- hellojeehae0
cover alone makes me want to buy it.

AGAIN?
Surely this is the 3rd time in about year and a half. Here's and idea for a redesign CR: MORE ACTUAL FUCKING CONTENT THAN ADVERTS
- < little to no idea of how publications generate incomeDancer
- doesn't matter- it's all ads!doesnotexist
- PIZZA0
/\ Dancer hasn't even opened a copy of CR, otherwise they would know it has about maximum 5 pages of actual content

I agree with PIZZA, Creative Review and Caroline Robert's excuse for a design magazine - Grafik suffer greatly from any decent editorial content. You can use every printing process known to man and commission Nick Knight to do the staff photos, but what really sells magazine like pretty much everything in graphic design is useful, compelling, thought-provoking CONTENT.

Yes, but did any of you guys actually looked at a real copy?
The quality of the paper is terrible. Feels like freebie fanzine.I seriously don't think they can sustain it for long. At that price, with that amount of content and with such low quality content.
No offense, but 30% is ads, 60% feels like press releases and the remaining 10% feels a bit like actual editorial content. The website is good though. They should just make it an Annual or bi-annual magazine.
