You buy furniture. You tell yourself, this is the last sofa I will ever need in my life. The rug. Then you're trapped in your lovely nest, and the things you used to own, now they own you.

$400 isn't bad for a vacuum that will last. Both my parents use Miele vacuums, the one we used in the house lasted the first 12 years of my life and the one my dad uses in his studio has been going strong for 6+ years. Hardwood floors and two cats.
