the above video reminds me of the 'video game glove' that was just shown at CES 2010...
kinda cool, you can also use this glove to access any key commands in any design program.. the tech is here.. today now..

The greatest benefit of the iPad is that it can house a social environment. Unlike the 1 player aspect of the iPhone and Laptop. The standard mouse was never capable of integrating multi-touch points. So are there possibilities of a re-incarnation of the mouse?

It doesn't replace the mouse, not unless the GUI world is about to follow Apple's lead and make giant icons for everything, and it definitely won't replace the mouse for designers.
- no, the wacom replaced the mouse for designers. /carpal tunnelsjazmine
- The GUI world has been following Apple's lead since day one.********
- So the mouse shall become a pro-tool for designers only. Meanwhile the rest of the world who browses internet and email********

haven't used a mouse in about 4 or 5 years

I haven't used a mouse in 15 years. I use a tablet. You can argue tablet=mouse, but mouse in a traditional sense is not the best input method.
I read somewhere that using a mouse is like trying to draw with a bar of soap.

When I'm trying to do something exact, nothing beats the mouse. For everything else, it fucking sucks.
