Dropdown you need a bread sandwich to go with that ketchup soup, a slice of bread between 2 slices of bread. Butter or mayo optional.
- mayo?!
LUXURY!dropdown - well I did say optional!shitehawke
- Bread!?
BLOODY LUXURY!!!dropdown - If you don't have bread just lay out a sheet of newspaper and shake out the contents of your breadbin or bread packet...shitehawke

Some good ideas here for future reference. Not all of them are very quick though.

10 minute rice.
Throw in some vegetables.
Add hot sauce.
Done.

That first post looks really good and dead simple. I'm definitely going to try it out and score some points with the lady.
I work from home and my wife has grad school in the evenings. We like to eat together so I wind up cooking a lot of the food.
Here are a few of my favs:
Panini sandwiches - Buy some ciabatta bread, cheese, cold-cut turkey, and marinated artichoke hearts or roasted red peppers from trader joes. Slap it together and put it in the oven for about 10 min. Amazing! Goes well with soup.
Fresh salad with marinated, roasted chicken - Basically just a nice salad with good ingredients, but the key is to add some awesome chicken. I buy a pack of fresh chicken and bake it in a marinade of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, salt and pepper. If you can marinade it several hours before so much the better but if not it still comes out good, and it only takes about 20 min.
Serve it with a toasted baguette and some brie cheese for an awesome dinner.
