one problem could be that there is way to many "graphic design" programs. almost every school has one.
most of the teachers aren't that good either.

by the way, when you use the term "design schools" that's very wide open. i seen cool stuff from art center with the car design program.
on the other hand, their film program is an totally different level called below bottom.

fibonacci can we see some of the work you think sucks?I remember working with a guy who was saying most web design sucks these days, and it did because it was the height of Web 2.0 nonsense but then I asked him what stuff he liked and it was 2Advanced flash intro bullshit... which is much worse.

Your statement is very immature. 'Suck' is such a subjective term.
Try measuring design in objective terms and instead of bitching reply in a positive way by the quality of your work. Its very easy to point fingers.

Given the theory that 'most people suck in general regardless of profession' (which seems to be largely agreed upon in this thread), the vast majority of people who've posted in this thread would naturally fall in the 'suck' category then.
