Even though i'm not even looking for a job i saw this..

It doesn't say a photograph of yourself.
I am fairly sure that the CV is supposed to have a photo of the applicant. When I worked overseas most of the 'CVs' that we got all had photos.
- A cv is a work history, a photograph is a photograph. They're not required together in the UK for sure.jamble

in china it's standard to include a photo with your application. and as an employer it's brilliant. saves you so much time. you can tell a lot about someone from their photo, moreover, choice of photo.
although it's also standard to have "your fathers occupation" as a question on the application form. which i'm not so enthusiastic about!

this is common over here ... and I doubt they base any desicions on what you look like. they just want to get an idea of who you are.

(that and to run it through one of their clients facial recognition databases, but it's no biggy)

I dunno.. you can tell a lot about a person with a photo.
(translation: you can make sure they're good looking, scrub up nicely and are in top physical condition. And are white.)
