I heard it's all about the type of panel that's used.... TN are the most common and they're not so good .. blacks aren't black and view angle is poor. IPS panels are much better - but cost a lot more too... they have more accurate colour characteristics and you can view them at awkward angles.

Wow, these are coming out at a LOT cheaper than the "flagship" colour LCDs (Eizo, Lacie etc).
Are the likes of Eizo's £1200 24" worth the spend??

I love my Dell

If you're doing colour-accurate work, they do a more expensive one (+£200) which is more suitable.

I bought a 24" Acer flatscreen from ebuyer for £200. It's been top notch. It's not quite as fapp-able in the looks dept as a cinema screen but it's sharp and of course cheap.
- I would have serious concerns over the image fidelity and color accuracy on a monitor that cheap.monospaced
- I only do web but it seems fine to me and I've had about 1.5 yearsjamble

Yo peeps
I know this gets asked every 6 months, but eff it...
My 30" cinema HD appears to be experiencing some death. After that colour issue earlier in the week, it's been calibrated to flip and is still looking shit, so I think it's time to replace it.
Can anyone recommend (from personal experience) a monitor to replace it, between 24" and 30" ?
Probably can't stretch to LaCie money, but would love to hear experiences with their screens all the same.
Cheers!
