Any new acquaintance should be met with a small bow and a smile.
No need for a formal 90 degree bow. They'll think you've watch "The Rising Sun" too many times.

Table manners while eating...
In S.Korea, keep the hand that is not holding a utensil on your lap and off the table.
In China, when people eat a bowl of rice, they tend to pick up the bowl of rice and sort of shovel it in their mouths with chopsticks. Don't be startled by this.

All such wonderful advice... I think I'm going to do fine with the drinking thing in Korea (in a very humble way), I've got a terribly hollow leg as long as I can get a meal in me.
Got the business card exchange thing.
Picked up a nice leather and stainless biz card holder/ dispenser thingy at a thrift shop. My co-worker from China says the holder is a fun way to impress whoever you're giving it to.
I can't believe I'm going somewhere where they honor boozin... I've been trying to bring back the 2 martini lunch for years now...

Most poeple already nailed Korea, but let me see what I can add...
1. When someone pours your drink, hold the cup with 2 hands.
2. Pour drinks for other people if their glasses start to get empty, always use two hands to pour a drink for someone.
3. Hand your business card to them with 2 hands (it's not too formal, it's polite).
4. Don't eat before those more senior than youWhere are you going in China? I don't know that as well, but Hong Kong will be easier and more fun than Beijing :)
When in Korea get someone to take you to try street food. Look for ddok-bbok-i... very tasty and it should be everywhere.

i know in japan you should always pour for others first if the bottle is in your hand.

if you're in shanghai. i'd be happy to advise!
eg. in China just be careful of the late night hair salons that offer a hair wash/cut but actually all they do get naked and give you a hand job.
