radio shack was one of the last places where you could buy transistors, resistors and anything else electrical/circuit based. admittedly the selection dwindle throughout the years but you always had the 25 to 50 draws and could count on it in any city you traveled to. tons of tiny bits to fix that charger/ hackbox or any receiver setup, really.. This will be a loss to many enthusiasts

http://www.sciplus.com/I use american science and surplus; although their site could use some work, they do have a large collection of general science and electronic parts/bundles/ and hard to find items. They have a store in Chicago (5316 N. Milwaukee Ave) that i used to frequent often when i lived there but now use their shipping. reliable and they offer over night. also their prices are reasonable... depending ..
