Just discovered that I have 179 photos stored on my flickr and once I reach the limit I will be able to see last 200 pics.
The question is...WTF??
Is it worth to pay $24.95 for an upgrade to PRO version??
I was thinking about google picasa, but flickr seems to be more user friendly in terms of usability.
Any other services similar to flickr or picasa?

picasa sucks

if you post a lot of photos, sure... if you go over 200 pics, I believe you can still upload, they just hide old ones after 200... so it's the newest 200. I *think. Then if you upgrade to a pro account they show them again. They don't delete them, just hide them.

picasa is great

interestingly, the cooliris firefox plugin can still find, display and also send you to the photo's flickr page for any photos that are archived after the 200 photo limit.

$25 is nothing. I spent more than that on lunch today.

i suppose deleting older photos is not an option, we'd rather just whine about the situation, yes?

definitely worth it IMO. I have a pro account and upload almost everything I shoot. It's awesome to have all my images backed up remotely and not have to worry about losing them.

Absolutely worth it and $25 a year is peanuts.

Not worth it.

It's worth it.

if you compare it to how much we all spent in the film photography days on storage and distribution then 25 bucks would have lasted about an hour!
- flashbender0
yes. $25 for a year is nothing

I chose flickr, because it seems to be more lightweight if you compare it with picasa. I have to try cooliris for ff and see how it works...
Thanks for an update!
