agree. gradient is a bit much

is it flash webpaged?

A little to web 2.0 for my liking but I actually dig the gradient; it's the one thing making it feel like AT LEAST web 2.1(beta)... Perhaps cutting down that space between the top nav and the "Selected Works" (capitalize Works)... Good hustle...!!!

- well, it's not so much 'color theory' as 'a little bit of everything'bulletfactory

+1 ^ If you're dead-set on a gradient, I would suggest making it a little more subtle

I like the gradient, think about reducing it a little bit.

feels like a gatorade site

the slogans at the bottom are invisible without scrolling. why put it over there?
the 'featured work' block pushes your logo and introtext away. you might re-arrange those two a little.- slogans = cadegories [accordeon]planeterror
- aha. well. in that case those are important navigation items. put them in sight then!stewart

Ok... Explanations:
It will not be flash. There will be a lot of js and jquery in it.
colours:
-complementary contrast between background and website logo/buttons
-warm/cold contrast between
- blue vs redd-ish [bg - which is a little distracting... maybe fade
the colours a bit]
tried using blue/light green combos looks like vista
- orange vs green [buttons, links etc.]- I think you may have over-thought this.
Simplify, simplify, simplify.******** - a lot of js and jquery.
why not start with a shitload of good work and the website design will follow by oneself.stewart
- I think you may have over-thought this.

easy on the gradient and maybe make the top nav a bit more visible or give it some more space .. now it seems kind of stuck on there .. in a corner ..and next time maybe post it at original res ..

Just don't know where to look first.
Everything seems to have the same importance.

Colors are too garish. Definitely not right for a design agency site. But it's the green and orange that bug me more than the bg.
Also what's up with the four identical thumbnails. Replace them with some actual content and you will get a better idea of how the site will really look.

desmo is right. good though, on the right track

I think you might be trying to do too much with a page which is essentially very simple. I'd go for using the space and simplicity more rather than trying to fill it in with gradients and extra graphic bits. Its looking a little disjointed as a result.
The second part of the page; have you thought about reworking the 4 big features so that they run in a list, one on top of the other, in teh fisrt 3 columns of the page, and taking the strapline things from the bottom and laying them out in the 4th? - I think it would bring that area more structure, and allow the straplines more prominence
- your spaceing has to be perfect if you are going to float elements on teh page like thatkelpie

i'll come up with something else for the background.
Each section (ex. Homepage, Selected Works, contact [will post soon]) is to be regarded as a single page... so ignore the spacing inbetween, or how they relate. Also thanks for the feedback so far... it's been quite useful
