"New world currency" presented by the russian president during the G8,
I wonder for how long are you still going to laugh it out, calling people nutcases and dismiss their claims.

the EU can't even get all the countries of europe (mainly the uk) interested in a joint currency yet you honestly think the world is going to buy into this? really? you honestly think this will get off the ground?!? this is a russian president proposing this coin, they can't keep georgian's interested in being part of russia ffs.
- airey0
the russian one looks like it was designed from either a buck rogers or star trek episode. the thought being that 'this is what credits of the future will look like'. awesome.

how about crashing the economy and proposing a global economy that will fix the old one. I don't know in what country you live but here, the economy is tanking pretty nicely. It won't take much to convince people to accept this idea. Btw do you believe the UK is out of the Euro because the citizen chose to, that all these billionaires move to london for the weather and good cuisine? no they went there because the UK is the last financial paradise in Europe, actually not that much anymore.
- Yes of course Italy is the blueprint for the future of global economy. Or you mum gets it.MrT

ok, how about China then, I believe they have the US by the balls or are you going to say, they can't keep tibet interrested....

tibet means absolutely nothing. if there is a giant oil field under it then china will never give it up and if all the fucking douchebags wearing 'free tibet' shirts actually cared they wouldn't be buying all the cheap home appliances and furniture made in china.
question: how will this fix the so-called broken economy. yes the economy is fucked presently but that's after a decade of the highest growth in modern history. the economy models we're currently under are only a couple of hundred years old and are constantly evolving. in fact the dip we're in is part of the cycle of our economic system. certainly australia has been saved through stronger governmental controls of banks. the complete lack of banking regulation was what massively help cause the great depression and evolved economics to include some amount of government controls. the latest has again shown that the us needs some better regulations and transparency. evolving again. and in 4 years we'll be up and running again, with a view that in another 10-12 years we'll experience a dip like the one we're in now. if you're 30 or older you'll havea better memory of the trouple that happened between '87 to '94. that was shite for the western world but once it built back up it took off massively.
the new one-currency is possible sure but presently we're run by the sheer consumer power of the us. they buy shit that is made in china, the factories fuelled by coal/uranium mined is australia/sfa. china does have the states by the balls but the states also has at least 1 ball of chinas. it's a conjoined ball-holding. unless the states absolutely collapses, which it probably won't in a hurry then it's probably going to just carry on, business as usual.
who knows though, maybe you're right. if so lets buy those begium minting fuckers shares up now!

this time, I hope I'm wrong. Even the pope called for a new global currency while we were crying over MJ.

Wait, I thought the NAU/ Amero was what the global Illumanati had planned for us. Where does Medvedev's new world currency coin fit into that?
- airey0
you never know. a shake-up certainly wouldn't hurt. the issue i think stands in the way is the balance of global power. the us aren't going to want to hand that over and the main parties voicing this apparently 'shared opinion' are: china, russia and by the sounds of it the catholic church. can you think of any worldwide power that might want to get ahead in the control stakes? at a guess i'd say: china, russia and the catholic church. i'm always dubious of 'truths' handed out by the people that benefit the most from the change.
- airey0
we should have a competition to design a QBN currency. could be funny.
- ukit0
Georges, you know there's a difference between a global currency and a reserve currency, right?
Dollar is the reserve currency for int markets right now, that doesn't mean everyone is going to start using dollars in their own countries.
- airey0
and can i ask why cracking jokes is bad? i mean, are ukit's jokes going to make the economy worse? well, certainly if a country was relying in royalties from ukit's jokes the economy would go down the pan. and anyone who has to read one of his jokes that has been fired recently might think it a straw that broke the camel and commit suicide sure, but being 'serious' about stuff won't actually improve it, you kinda need a sense of humour to get through life to my mind. especially if you're ukit.
- GeorgesII0
Ukit, I bet to differ with you,
you got it wrong first the dollar can't stay the reserve currency because it has no more value, everyone knows it, but goes along white pretending not to see it.
a global currency will be like the euro, one type of money, once central bank and every country design it as they want as long as all the central banks agree with the terms.
how long do you think, the dollar will keep on going at this rate.speaking of OZ and Canada

- ukit0
Did I ever say I didn't think the dollar could be replaced? I don't think it would be easy, but if there is a worse collapse then yea sure. It's not like America has always been the top economic power, in fact I'm sure it's power will decline in the 21rst century although it's not like China and Russia don't have their own problems.
- Half my extended family lives in China anyway so I have my bets safely hedged ;)ukit
- ukit0
Why are people so afraid of losing their national sovereignty anyway?
Isn't that kind of what Lennon was getting at, "Imagine there's no countries/ Nothing to kill or die for";)
- GeorgesII0
^ Ukit you have no idea what sovereignty means, would you like a german minister deciding how much wages you should get or the chinese president allowing you in the US to only specialize in one field, sovereignty is what give you identity, but I guess we only miss something when we lost it...
Anyways, here's a quick update to this thread, I hoped it was a joke,
but these people are dead serious
