I have posted this before but I have recently cleaned it up. The loading times still are not the best.
I'm looking for work, so I'm looking to improve my work.
Feel free to comment.

i think you're on the right track. one thing that bugs me a little is the layout of the descriptive text under the main images. i think you can make that text box wider so the text is spread out and not just a little turd of a chunk.
also, maybe add a little color to your roll overs.
opinions are like assholes on qbn. there are ton of us... just pick the ones you like most.

hahah, thanks.
There is a four column grid that exist underneath the main view port.
I use to have alot of txt which filled up the 4 columns but now I do not.
Although in the future, I will have project that use those columns.
So that's why I broke the lines as such.

Nice site I remember the Jenn Air thing. looks really clean and neat. One thing i would do... When going through your websites it looks like you took pictures of the sites on the computer... and you can tell from the lines and computer screen. Take a screen cap of the site instead. It will look a lot cleaner.

Thanks. But no thanks.
I want those lines and that weird reflection stuff in my images.
Its gives the work a much different feeling, then just plan old screenshots. I like the raw look as well as the cinematic view port.
Thanks for your feedback though.

The pictures of the work in the monitors makes the work look much better than an actual screenshot would. But any potential employer would want to see a screengrab of the site/flat design rather than an image you took of your screen.
- So they can see your attention to detail without any blurring/distortionwhendog

Nice. But please please check your grammar
"... how to used tabs in Indesign."
- hahhaha.. thanksClaymantis
- times like this you can't help but pity the fool. (sorry)lukus_W
- Claymantis0
That why I included the screen shots in the browser.
- whendog0
Yeah - I was slightly disappointed when i saw the actual work at 100%
- Claymantis0
Whats wrong with it?
- whendog0
After looking through it more - def solid work - What's bothering me is the way you cut out the appleton logo
- I know. I was asked to make something in a day. So i only had google images to work from.Claymantis
- I guess i could have logo smoother. but it was a really crappy quality from google images.Claymantis
- Ahh - I hear ya - 1 day?? jeesuz nice for 1 day!!whendog

is the note about the audi/ tabs in indesign refering to the 'tabbed once too many' image in the set?
- rippedursite0
it's bugging me that not all of the images look like they were taken with a camera. some do look like screen shots, other dont. also, the way not all of the images are the same size. i think more consistency would make it feel tighter.

the photographs of web stuff bugs me. it's web...take a screen shot and throw it on a monitor even.
- he explained WHY he did it already, and it's a fair reason.rippedursite

Nice work overall. Yeah, I'd clean up that logo on the "Appleton" site too : ) In Print: I'd start out showing the complete pieces at the beginning of each project. Overall your photos could have more tone in the background to separate them from the white background of your site. Print/Rotation: "letting" should be spelled "leading" (coming from the strips of lead put between the lines of type in days of old). And in this same copy block, last sentence, shouldn't the "were" be a "was"? (you may want to proofread your site again). Print/Earthtone: I would reduce the size of the logo approx. %70 (especially since it's a bit rough at the current size). Maybe even stack a black version above with the color below. And your ordering of images, I'd put nr. 3 before nr. 2 so that it follows the nature "left-to-right" nature of reading/viewing. And the last image, I'd definitely show that standing up plus opened up a bit to give it more dimension (seems a little flat right now and also move this to image nr. 1). Print/Shoe Cat: Image nr. 2, I'd take a tighter shot of that (as your did for image nr. 4 which is a nice one!) The logo reads as "Sneaker Head3" to me, but if it's a done deal, it's a done deal : ) I really like your paintings with nr's. 2, 4, 11 & 12 being my faves and your clay work is nice as well. For your CV, I'd make this pop into a new window. That's my .02 cents. Hope this helps and you're not put-off by my honesty. Good luck man!
- Thanks for the review! Good pointsClaymantis

I like what youve done with the indexhibit, very clean and clear. and i like your aesthetic. Do you mind telling me how you removed the built with indexhibit thing in the menu area?

Perhaps making the about me and CV links the same size as the other links above it in the column. Nice hover effects though.

no way, keep the scanlines effect youve achieved through photography. im personally sick of seeing sites in lightboxes, browser skeletons, and in mac computers.
keep it this way, its far more original, and less trendy.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

I shot all of my webstuff a few months ago w/ a camera pointed at my laptop monitor - i felt like it was more interesting than the average screenshot (i also like the lines and swirls that show up).I'll be including a screenshot in the mix as well (probably as the last image or thumb in the sequence). I hope this doesn't become the next 'picture of designer holding a poster' look.

It's fucking deceptive to take angled photos of a website.
The website will never be viewed from those angles.
Designers are supposed to communicate. Part of good communication is honesty. Quit misrepresenting your work.
*this rant goes out to all you web designers who are taking weird angled photos of LCD's displaying your work. Stop it.
- Its not really misrepresenting anything, when you show digital samples too like he is.dMullins
