I'll look into adding a grill. Problem is it will look pasted on.
- what is the next project?Jnr_Madison
- I'm thinking of making a street scene or a character. I'm not sure.********

no eyes? just eyebrows?

the character just sort of squints. dunno what to say. it's hard to pull off in 3d.
- yeah, pixar say the same thing...airey
- nice attempt at humor********

This is better than your car Llyod, and for what its worth the car looked better before you did that finished version with the flames. It just looks rank as fuck now... not because of the flames, because of those awful polygonic panels on the hood, roof etc.
This looks better is all.

thanks. I like the car with the gray global illumination myself. I didn't spend much time on lighting and texturing. I'm glad you like the character. I'm still working it over, it's a fucking pain in the ass though. organic poly modeling is my weak spot.

the opposite of aerodynamic

will the squirrels be piloting the car? or will they be roadkill?
i agree, ditch the flames, or if you must at least spend some time on the texture mapping

legs too long, feet to big, arms too long. chest does not appeal, too concave. then the kneecaps seem too well defined for the overall smoothness of your concept.
- the legs and arms need to be long-going to swing from ropes. the knee caps are needed so I can bend the mesh. it has elbows too********
- elbows too********
- morphing the character´s extremities for the needed poses seems like the way to go********
- ...no need to ruin the initial concept, the drawings are solid.********

I gave up on the squirrels. modeling them in lightwave was impossible.

i find it useful too look at statues of cartoon characters for 3d-translation inspiration.
f.ex. frank cho´s ralph character, his squint is similar to that squirell of yours, this is what the modeler did with it
another ralph statue had the squint not modelled but painted on, worked fine. animating facial expressions using a texture would probably be a bitch tho..
- thanks for that. I have the eyebrow as a nurbs extrude********
