There IS a god, but he's got tired playing this game and has found another game to keep himself happy, a newer version of reality.
(in the same way you ditch the previous GTA when the new version comes out)
He's just NOT around anymore, pastures new and all that. Hence why we dont see any miracles these days and why the whole world is going to pot.
Not believe me?
Prove otherwise!- easy, he's omnipotent, he can't just "find another game"... he's everything and everywhere. So he didn't do what you just said.zarkonite

The fact one would believe there is or isn't a God is not *necessarily* related or in conflict with the notion of evolution theory. In fact, one might believe in both. You are thinking the Biblical interpretation. But there are so many more Gods people believe in outside the Bible.

"Even if theoretical physics should one day discover the most basic laws upon which the fabric of space and time is woven, or evolutionary biology the most elementary phylogenic forms of terrestrial life, or paleontology an utterly seamless genealogy of every species, still we shall not have thereby drawn one inch nearer to a solution of the mystery of existence. . . . Even the simplest of things, and even the most basic of principles, must first of all be, and nothing within the universe of contingent things (nor even the universe itself, even if were somehow ‘eternal’) can be intelligibly conceived of as the source of explanation of its own being."
- The Atheist Delusion
- ..only if you decide that is true. The notion that the universe is unintelligible is entrirely without basis or merit. Duh.mikotondria3
- off point.teleos
- I'm glad you replied mitokondria, I read this a couple of times, and came to the conclusion that it's extremely verbose rubbish.BuddhaHat
- verbose rubbish.BuddhaHat
- it's ok if you don't understand it, Buddha.teleos
- I do, and it's rubbish. Nice try at being patronising though. Makes you come off all pious....BuddhaHat
- your assertion is naked.teleos

to sum it up,
we will never get the answer because we just don't know anything yet!
- bump790
and you can't prove it, if you don't know anything.

Some evidence...
- The Big Bang: All matter and energy sprang forth from something. Seems like purposive causation to me. Agency then Law, folks.
- Digital Code inside every Cell. Specified information always proceeds from a mind. Programs require programmers, etc...
- Cellular machinery. Every cell with it's transport shuttles, transcription, error protection, redundancy, backup, etc... is more complex than the infrastructure of New York City.
- Consciousness and first-person perspective. Self-awareness. Blind stochastic a-telic mechanisms doesn't make this stuff.
- Our innate moral awareness/general sense of right and wrong.
...to name just a few.
- evidence != ignoranceNairn
- the same old soundbytes, eh ? All of those points are evidence of something else.mikotondria3
- They are evidence of mind. Purposive mind.teleos
- digital code inside every cell...you are a complete retardmonospaced
- ignorance != avoiding logical inferences.teleos
- No. You have started with that conclusion and worked back. Explore every other option.mikotondria3
- do your remedial homework, monospaced. Then get back to me.teleos
- miko: I have. i arrive at the same conclusion. It's inescapable.teleos
- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
You fucking tool.mikotondria3 - The study of those things takes thousands of people dozens if not hundreds of years.mikotondria3
- I guess all biology researchers should pack up their stuff now you're on the scene. IT IS SOLVED! HE IS RISEN. Tool.mikotondria3
- Biology points towards evidence of a creator. Why would they pack up and quit?teleos
- because theres no need - you have all the answers to how and why. 'God did it'. Simple.mikotondria3
- nonsense. We can explore the wonder of creation.teleos

Is your God (a) so powerful that he could create a universe in which he did not exist so that (b) in an act of ultimate humility, he was not constantly worshipped by his creations ? Discretion is the better part of valour, to love something is to set it free. If I can understand that it is a greater thing to have created the universe then ceased to exist, leaving mankind and all of creation with a genuine privacy of thought, than to have created the universe and then hung around peering into our every thought, alive or dead, then surely this is a greater notion of god-as-creator to which to aspire than that of god-as-overseeing-omnipresent-fa... from which there is no escape, no privacy, and ultimately no real identity. ?
Thats to say - if I was god, I'd have made the universe then fucked off and left people with their dignity and space, THAT would be love, not this constant 'hovering' and control-issues.- I don't believe in a God like that. And the God of the Bible has not revealed himself in this way.teleos
- You do. You believe in a god that constantly hears your thoughts, and is never not-there.mikotondria3
- strawman.
You can do better.teleos - Absolutely not strawman. This is your god, from your bible. Omnipresence is the only point I am arguing here. Yes?mikotondria3
- No, you can do better. Your answer wasn't an answer at all.BuddhaHat
- *he means you..mikotondria3
- GeorgesII0
where is your god now?
in the sky far far away from your pointless arguing.now go debate this.
