Maybe 500 gigs? Maybe more? I want to spend 100 bucks.
I want a tiny one. I will probably put music on it. I will put massive PSD files on it, you know, normal shit.
Would be cool if it was real durable and easy to travel with.
You can tell me to googlez or look it up in filter but I WANT BRAND NEWSKI STUFF!!?!!!!
THIS CHANGES EVERY DAY

sup fellas. happy easter!
grafiske i just bought myself a WD 500gb usb 2.0 and firewire mybook home edition drive to complement my other 500gb drive of the same and i friggin love them! (for home use)
i also have the wd passport 500gb drive that i use to transport all my music and psd files to and from work and so far it's been an amazing little drive. it's small enough to fit in my pocket!
i've heard pretty good things about the lacie rugged drives. a few months ago at my last job we had an apple tech come in and he highly recommended those drives. the wd passports are only usb and i know the lacie ones are firewire so they might transfer large files a bit faster.
either way, i'm a huge fan of the passport drive.
good luck duder!

its not at all portable but makes a great desktop backup drive..
I agree with icanhazqbn on looking into the lacie rugged drives.

They are all going to be decent, at least the name brands. Mostly comes down to luck/care.
I've got tons of Maxtor externals that have been great (got about 8-9 of them).
I have had a Lacie laptop drive for a while no, no problems.I got a 320 GB Mybook (think that's it - the laptop version) because Best Buy had a graet deal and nothing had that capacity at that time. Not a problem so far (been about a year).

SORRY FOR DELAY!
Lacie Rugged is what I am looking for - something I can put in a backpack, something that if it falls of my desk won't get all effed up.
Anymore like that? I think I want a terabyte.

Stay away from LaCie at all costs. They may have the latest design or technology, but their reliability has not been proven over the years. Stick with Western Digital or Seagate.

I need one bad.
