And when you get REALLY tired, a solid kick to the crotch will get you going again... after you get the crying like a wee girl out of the way.

that's too much fucking work. Let go, take a vacation, climb a mountain, go fishing. Your going to look back at your days and realize your memories are all computer screens.
- mmmmm... computer screens...Point5

I do have a part-time job which is very flexible I get to choose my hours as long as I have everything organize with the clients. If go in the morning I get out early in the afternoon and so on. On my freelance I take a projects that usually last about 2 - 3 months non stop work day night. Then rest, for a month and half.. I usually go to Mexico I own a restaurant in a beautiful old town, brew my own beer and eat well and take photos.

The fact that it is 11:41pm, and I am now just contemplating what to get started on next says that I am way too busy and confirms that sleep is for the weak.

- Haha, the dude on the left was the best thing in the movie. This reminds me I have to see it again.Ruffian

make sure you are putting money away. get enough to live comfortably for 8 months and then quit the job. you are obviously successful as a freelance so up the rates a little and make it your full-time gig.

keep doing it as long as you can. i do the same as you. i work at nights, weekends, while on vacations. i don't do as crazy hours as i used to but i do enough freelance work to significantly increase my income. In the long run, I think it's worth it. You'll have more in saving and other investments as well as keeping your own network of clients.
for stress management, i go to a spa and get a deep tissue massage.
- but what else do you do? i mean working hard is all fine and good, but when you can't think of the last time you did something "else"...lvl_13
- something "else". there are so many better things than money and assets.lvl_13
- and sorry for the "air" quotes. i fucking hate those things. it just seemed applicable :)lvl_13
- I try to balance as much as I can. So I travel frequently and take pretty pictures.tkmeister
- this is a man that understands balance. nice.lvl_13
- I think once you do it for a while, you become really efficient which equals a higher hourly rate. And with that you can afford to enjoy fine things in life.tkmeister

i was doing some crazy hours for a while, and the secret was a 20 min nap in the afternoon ... amazing results. but if, you're working full-time also, iguess naps are out. in the end though, it just wasn't worth it anyway.
i do enjoy some sleep deprivation now and then though.
