I ride to work thru central london. Tufnel park to Hammersmith, 17 miles a day. Got a £30 fine a few days ago for cycling on the pavement!! bastards!!
I go through red lights all the time! But I never shoot through them, only tiptoe through once it's safe. Heck cars wont let me have the road like another car, so why should I act like a car? Long as im not putting anyone in danger I dont give a rat's ass.
this is my ride.. but in dark grey. Rubbish condition, only worth £100 or so.. but I often go out on it and leave it locked up in the city. anything better would get nicked.. and make me cry if it did. Rides like a demon and disc brakes mean you can take the wheel off to lock it up really easily.
Never tried a fixie, but seriously I really dont get those guys that dont even have brakes!! I mean how much can a cable weigh a bike down? honestly! Just a status thing

i did a few long distance trips during the summers in high school, that was a lot of fun. i don't have any bikes with geometry suitable for a multi-day trek now, though i'd love to go somewhere out around the marin headlands or farther north. i ride the one in front mostly. it's kind of beat, but fun..
- nice rides!
especially the langster and the bianchi!!RoyBoyII
- nice rides!

Got this a couple of years back as a commuter, I didn't know much about bikes and the guy at the bike shop recommended it.I ended up riding it from Calgary to Vancouver last summer (approx 1100km) on a bit of a whim. It took us 9 days, and now I'm hooked.
I was hoping to do a tour somewhere in Europe (vague, I know) in the next year or so, can anyone recommend any good rides?
