Chapter 4+ are great.
that second chap that you beat with flame thrower is one persistent sod. should have played it on easy not hard.
and those things that fall out of sacks - had 4 of them to deal with.

finished amateur, normal and veteran levels, beat almost all of mercenaries... just have 3 more characters to unlock.. been dying endlessly in professional level, cant get past the axe weilding giant in the beginning of the game, i tried everything from gataling gun, to rocket launcher, to dual magnums, every weapon i have is at unlimited ammo and every weapon is unlocked, yet for the last hour ive died at that axe guy over 80 times...and here i thought the Giant ogre in veteran mode was insanely annoying... i still havent unlocked the 3rd costumes for each of the main characters, do they get unlocked when one finishes professional level?
anyone beat professional level or make it past the axe guy??

i'm going through on veteran - almost finished... kinda too easy with unlimited ammo, so if i'm not too bored, i'll give professional level a try.

finally started professional mode.
man, getting hit over the head with a 40oz almost sends you to your death. and sheva's even more aloof in this mode. i don't know how many times i get attached with her casually watching at my side and about eight seconds later she realizes i need her and finally helps out.. *spray* "are you alright?, you need to be more careful!" no, i need you to cover me bitch.. ffs.
wish i could just tell her to go find us some gold and meet up at the end of the game.. i'd rather have that boobalicious Expressa or whatever her name is play along side me.. even if she just wanted to do her nails. i'd no worse off.

in the mercenaries... the ship to me is the hardest!!! i can last a long time but there isnt enough places to sit still long enough to make any points count as you are being hacked at from every angle and the chainsaw guys dont die they get up after 20 seconds... ugh!!! ill never unlock JILL!!!

- the prison level is the easiest for me to earn points. 1st time i got 53K.. that level is the most fun!e-pill
- only problem with prison level is not enough time ups while you run around..e-pill
- i like this level becuse i use safari chris and axe guy goes down with 1 rocket and doesnt get back up...he dead!e-pill

when you complete the game is there only mercenary mode extra?
Rev evil 4 had 3 other new games.I'm playing it as sheva at moment - chris is actually much better at AI

- you get used to it... this game has no horror in it at all though, its just action..e-pill
- the game to me took a turn for crap by losing its horror fear factor...e-pill
- it plays just like ninja gaiden or god of war or gears of war.. just endless bad guys... kinda -1e-pill
- RE4 was great because it was new, but RE5 doesnt hold a candle to the rest of the series...e-pill
- it lost its awesomeness!!! without the ink ribbon taking up a spot in your inventory you have no feare-pill
- also the game gave me a negative vibe by being able to chose any chapter to play...e-pill
- if the game is just to find the BSAA trophies or upgrade weapons to max is the theme...e-pill
- ...then it should have been called a different game... not in the main series of RE...e-pill
- i like how the story continued and evolved but it lost everything that made it great and scary...e-pill

so far professional mode has been a bitch! that ndesu, or whatever his name is that you fire at with the gattlin gun is almost impossible, especially if you use the Type-A control scheme which is like re4. when you have to do a QTE, it requires you to push 2 buttons simulateously instead of 1 on some of the other controller modes and most of the time the button presses dont register and he kills you with one or two hits. it took me over 40 fucking attempts to finally beat him.. uhhgg....
and again, it's all about playing babysitter for sheva. in the last part of the marshlands when you're up against the tribal dudes, she'll wander over to the part of the ground where spikes shoot up and get killed like an idiot. horrible AI.
btw, the lightning hawk is probably the most well-rounded weapon to get and max out. the expensive magnum has to powerfull a recoil so you can't fire shots as fast.

and raniator, you might want to try out the type-a control scheme like i did. it has a similar setup to re4. and the best strategy for the game is to keep a safe distance from your enemies. you'll have to perfect your aim to get headshots, but you'll live longer and have to rely less on 'stupid bitch'.
if you want to see some really bad control, try playing mgs4 after re5.

i havent been able to pass that yet, its been way over 40 tries, i have lasted a long time, made it past that thing that pops out of his back to the 2nd time but its the 2 majini in the background that just makes it ridiculous... i shoot them directly and yet they dont die... then ndesu just smashes me...
omg sheva and those spikes!!!!!!!!! very bad Ai indeed...your partner died!!! what the fuck!!! the end with Ndesu chapter is the only chapter i have left, i finished everything else to do, i even have "SS" ratings in Mercenaries... unlocked and upgraded everything...

i havent tried any of the other button configs outside of the one that is RE4... so is it easier to fight Ndesu with only pressing 1 button for evading the punch/ ground shakes?? also does the 1 button recognize better than the 2 buttons configs?

here's how i beat him. only shoot him when he's about to come down on you. you have to make sure you don't overheat. also, the molotov guy to the left deals major damage. i changed my aim speed to 'fast' and knocked him out the second i saw him.
the first time ndesu grows the two uh.. things, if he starts to walk left like he's going to pull up a boulder, shoot the red barrel to his left to stop him and he'll charge you and have another close-up face off. i did it this way because i can't handle the boulder without the one barrel you get. it's too difficult to shoot it and break it before it pummels you.
also any time you knock him back is a good time to take out the arrow shooters or molotov. and the barrel to the far right is good for taking the pole out of his hands the second he picks it up.

what do you mean "only shoot when he's about to come down on you"?? when is that?? what are you doing when he isnt doing that? also im playing alone and sheva is shooting him a lot... is there a way to get her to shoot better?

what i mean is, when he start's to rear back, wait just tap the fire button to lower your guns temp and then when he's back all the way, hold it down. i over-heated so many times trying to control him and the manjini.
also, she does a pretty good job at aiming actually. a lot of forums suggest shooting ndesu in the face, which i do, but also help her with the tentacle things. it's important to knock those off as fast as possible - especially if you're having trouble with the QTE like me.
