i'm starting to get the hang of it. all i need is unlimited shotgun ammo and i'm set. i fucking hate having to conserve/ration ammo.
and so far, i agree 100% e-pill, it's MGS 'cept with zombies... hard to believe capcom could've fucked this one up - especially with it being this long in the making.
where's the creepy atmosphere? the iconic hero, and the god-awful over-reacting antagonist, each with their own horrible, yet memorable one-liners? where's the merchant chillin with his blue torch?
instead i've been dropped into a warzone, pulling rainbox six missions against some 28-days later-like zombies... wtf?

everything i said before was wrong. once you get in a few chapters it gets darker and darker and more like re4.

i dont want to drop any spoilers but i will have to say that in chapter 5.1-5.3 i was in happy heaven as i died!!!! if you havent gotten to those chapters then i will say make sure you have enough ammo, if you beat it already and now onto chapter 5.4 then did you like what you in there??? honestly i was shocked... it was like dead rising but not zombies... awesome!!!! i do miss the stranger from re4... i didnt want to initially sell the gems i found as all i could think was i had to combine them with a crown or something to make the value stronger...that was until i got like 4 crowns... been liking the boss fights a lot!!! i like the creative styles they push the creatures to become... a lot of nice easter eggs for those that love MATRIX...

Think its great.
Running through the game too fast though. Constantly on the move.
Will look forward to replaying it - chainsaw dude took hours to kill.

this game seems to have a VERY interesting story line. This most current version is set in Africa no? And has to do with pharmaceutical firms no? and also has to do with viral outbreaks no? very interesting.

Pah, Resident Evil was always about suspense and horror, not running and gunning, it's lost it's way and you can't deny that. I was a massive fan, played 1, 2 and 3 to death.
Dead Space is a game and a half, they got the suspense, controls, story and graphics down to a fine art, that game is frigging tense!

e-pill, you thought the game was long? i thought it was short compared to re4. to me it seemed only about 1/3 as long.
i'm now going back through each chapter to shoot all the emblems i missed and upgrading all my weapons to get unlimited ammo. mercenaries mode up next..

How many played on Veteran mode first time? I think I made a mistake with that. Bit hard in parts, not enough ammo.

Is it better than Killzone2? Just finished that.. almost. Graphics are amazing but plot is as dumb as starshiptrooper and the end of the game boss is rubbish.
