Yea I was wondering about the point size..
Thanks.
Could you give me a rational, why to use all same point sizes? The telephone pole was a symbol of communication. I used it as my personal branding and a t-shirt graphic.
I think it looks good.
Plus I kinda look like a telephone pole- Also, didn't you see the FIRST comment on this thread? You used Futura!monospaced

A rationale? Because it would look better.
I see the word SKILLS in uppercase at a large point size, then you have a paragraph about what you can do at a smaller size in sentence case. The difference is too large, and quite distracting. Also, it negates your "strong layout" skills.
- i actually thing the scale difference works...the positioning is what doesn't work for me as well.sputnik2

Well there always a reason why something looks better.
The difference is too large, and quite distracting. - that is your reason?
- Are you defending your résumé?
Bad typography is a good reason!monospaced

Yea I used futura.
If you can give me a proper rationale, why not to use it.
I will gladly use another font.

to heavy of a font?

For futura I like it when it's thin and condensed. Helvetica baby - safe, tried, true and nice

poor kerning and leading

This is a step in the right direction.

Bah... looks like garbage man. Where is the soul.
Sure you can read it, but looks like crap.
- the point is, I wouldn't read yours as it ismonospaced

Looks like you're ignoring the advice from this thread Mantistwo. A resume shouldn't be over-designed, it should be legible. It's PURE information, and nothing more.
Also, I said it was a step in the right direction, not the final fucking solution. It took me about 5 minutes.

one of my pet peeves is that if you're looking for a job which is moderately to completely corporate, don't give me links to porn sites or any variation thereof (this includes mud wrestling). not professional.

I once sent a resume to a company (unbeknownst to me) owned by a friend of my boss at the time who had only just mentioned how great an employee I was... doh!

Over 1 page... I can't take that long, and most poeple with over 1 page are the ones that don't need it.
- ...except if you are a sr. level person. If you're looking for a 100k job and have a 1 pager, good luck with that.monkeyshine

thought of a new one...
gmail and hotmail accounts, I can't stand seeing them on a resume. It says a lot if a person has taken the time to get a domain name and set up their own email account

Funny commentary. Some CDs will tell you that if your resume isn't "designed" then you won't get a 2nd glance. Other times you send a PDF and are asked to send a Word document (that's always my favorite moment).
