My god this movie was amazing. Seriously some of the best art direction that's ever graced film.

About 6 years ago I saw Gaiman in Berkeley, he read the book beginning to end in a church. I've been looking forward to the movie ever since.

Agreed! Pure treat for the eyes. Need to watch it again and not think about how they achieved what they did in that movie.

fantastic movie. can't even begin to imagine how they made it. some real hard work went into it. gaiman's story was excellent to begin with but the animation takes it to a completely different level. loved it!

they were working on the trailers when i was at ignition creative back in april 07. ever since than i've wanted to see it. the designer who worked on the initial phases of the logo is quite good : but i think his site is now private/client based

I think animators take some kind of superdrug that makes their minds go absolutely wild with imagination, and this is what happens.

it's the most beautiful movie I have seen in a long time. The trailers don't do it justice.

I watched it with the 3d specs also; thought, it was a good movie. A lot more creepy than I thought it would be.

3D was tastefully done. It really did enhance the beauty and dynamics of this film. I felt the soundtrack/score was a little disjointed, but otherwise it was a gorgeous film with some of the best animation I've seen in awhile.

yeah cant' wait to see the making of..
they give you a sneak at how they do it, after the credits, stick around till the very end.

Oh, and to set the record straight.
Even though the trailers say, "...from the creators of Nightmare Before Christmas..." it is not a Tim Burton production. It is based on the Neil Gaiman story, and it's directed by Henry Selick.
Amazing nonetheless!

wow, some good reviews here. based on the trailers I couldn't say I was all that interested in seeing it. But now I think I wanna check it out.

- It's not necessarily a kid's story. It would have freaked me out as a child.monospaced

I visited the film's set in Portland. A relative of mine worked there as an AD. It looked so awesome - the amount of work put into it really is unbelievable. Can't wait to watch the film.
