Just came back from lunch with a few guys from the business downstairs. We split a few hot sakes on this cold day and I think I'm a bit fuzzy sitting here at work now. It's kinda nice.

hot sake! although it's close to 70 degrees in KC today - so a cold beer would work better here.

I drank a whole bottle of tyku one day at my desk... didn't get faded but "it was nice"... and no I don't buy it or drink it, but it was on my desk.

I could do with a generous dram of single malt and a pipe full of Turkish. In fact I wish I was home right now, with both accessories, on the front porch, leisurely working on my own new website rather than sitting here pretending to be busy.
Unsettling when business is this slow in January. Part of the reason I'm redoing metagramme.com...

Just got back from lunch at Llewellyn's in the CWE and a pint of Guinness. Feeling good.
- Nice! I'm going there next Thursday.gramme
- We should have some drinks sometime methinks.duckofrubber
- methinks too. Scottish Arms? Would be a proper STL QBN meeting place.gramme
- Funny, I was just remarking how the Scottish Arms Fish & Chips is miles above Llewellyn's.duckofrubber
- Yeah I've always thought the Welsh are better at poetry than food. The Scots are marginally better at both.gramme
- Yes. Agreed.duckofrubber

Hey duck, ever been to Tortillaria, up the street on Euclid? I love that place. Delicious guac.
- No, I have not. Wasn't even aware of it! Will have to check out.duckofrubber
- It's moderately priced, fresh, fairly authentic. 6 different salsas. Grilled tilapia w/ lime on hand-ground tortilla = heaven.gramme

Just got back to work from lunch with a guy I went to school with. Margaritas at Crema (W17th and 6th Ave) - still drunk. Food was great (owned by the former chef from Mexican Mama in the Village). Highly recommended.
