Iv'e lost my wallet 3 times and had it returned, and Iv'e lost my phone 5 times and had it returned every single time. Absolutely telling the truth.
Iv'e had bus drivers ring my house and say i'd left my phone on the bus, an old dog walker guy turn up at my house with my wallet saying he'd found it in the park. Must be lucky

Take $250 out.
Leave $250 in.
Hand it back. Anyone who is stupid enough to lose a wallet with 500 in needs to learn a lesson.
And i'd look good handing back a wallet with cash still in.

I lost mine once, some fooker found it and went on a spree with my credit card. It aint funny. So yes, I'd hand the lot back.

I'd return it all. Just put yourself in that situation. Unless of course, it was some douchebag asshole. In that case, Karma was delivering you the wallet of money for your good deeds.

I lost my wallet on the way to Niagara casino's. I had 800 dollars in cash in it. Not because I wanted to but because my work decided to give me actual cash for my bonus since I was so new.
Anyways, I lost it on the bus and cancelled everything that needed to be cancelled. Later in the workweek, I get a call from a person who had my wallet and went to pick it up with ALL MY cash in it. Gave him 100$ for his trouble and went our seperate ways.
From now on I always keep a business card or contact info in my wallet.... Really dont care about the cash, just the ID's as they are a bitch to replace.

I'd use the person's identification info to go find their home, and then I'd go shit in their fridge. Then I'd use all the credit card stuff to order a bunch of frilly dresses and panty girdles sent to the neighbor I hate, and buy myself a fancy dinner out for me and a bunch of friends. Then I'd spend the cash on upgrading my lynda.com account, and upgrading to CS4.
So:
1) Vandalism
2) Retribution and decadence
3) Practical application of bonus dosh

I found a wallet the last time I was in Brighton, it had many cc cards etc and some money. Anyway, I was looking for somewhere to hand it in and couldn't find anywhere. Next day we drove past the place where we found it and it was directly opposite a police station.

I would contact the person by Luigi Board and inform the human I have spent all the money, and you have a very expensive credit card bill next month.

I lost my wallet at a festival once with all my cards, ID, £50 and an 8th of weed in. I was starting to get a little pissed when my mates suggested I see if it's been handed in. My reply was something along the lines of 'don't be stupid why would it be' but I checked anyway and it HAD been, the £50 and the weed still in there! Was very happy.
So I think if I found a wallet I'd be compelled to give it back however tempting it may be to keep it.
