you can send html formatted emails through various server side scripting languages, like PHP.

Gmail can do simple formatting stuff. I'm pretty sure that generates HTML.

Try this:
Select (CTRL-A or equivalent) a page of HTML and hit copy. Go to Gmail or almost any email app for that matter and paste in what you copied. Now hit send. Voila, HTML e-mail.- That's really all there is to it. Just make sure your images are stored on a server somewhere.abettertomorrow

no one would ever format HTML in the e-mail client - just use Dreamweaver or whatever and paste into a client to send it:)
- or paste into Mailchimp or whatever more likelyabettertomorrow
- but be aware of e-mail-standards (css etc) and im images on the webserver (nospam).noel

i can't think of anything that doesn't send and receive HTML email.
even the most basic webmail client can handle it. or gmail or hotmail or lotus notes or incredimail where you can even include animated smileys. ahhh.
