I'd love to know what you guys would expect the US to do if everyday rockets were sent flying into the US from Mexico or Canada. What if they blew up your house, or killed a friend or family member? I'm sure you wouldn't want the US to retaliate right?

I want you to look at that map above and see just exactly how small Israel is in the middle east. And you're really going to try to say that Israel is trying to steal land? You're trying to tell me there is no room in Syria, Jodan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, etc for the arab peoples of palestine who have descent from those countries anyway?
Well, Israel isn't even asking for that.

Look at the land taken in the Six Day war and which Israel GAVE back afterwards. They are not trying to take land.

Now watch that video. Those are terrorists firing rockets from A SCHOOL. Those guys are the war criminals. If they choose to fire rockets from a school where there are children, THEY are the cowards and THEY are the criminals. Israel records this, does pinpoint bombs when they KNOW the terrorists are there. It is absolutely 100% the terrorists fault civilians get killed.

Every time you read an article about civilians getting killed by Israeli strikes notice how there are also militants killed.

    I'm not israeli, or jewish.
You only have to try a little bit to see whats really going on here, and the ignorance and one sided coverage on this subject that is so wide spread makes me sick.

my last on this, I'm tired of it:

I'd love to know what you guys would expect the US to do if everyday rockets were sent flying into the US from Mexico or Canada. What if they blew up your house, or killed a friend or family member? I'm sure you wouldn't want the US to retaliate right?

    -

I'd love to know what you would do if your tiny home country were being blockaded out of existence and all through your life growing up your larger neighbours had been bombing you, shooting people all around you and reducing your cities to a rubble from which there is no hope of building progress or prosperity? I'm sure you would be cool with that right?

    -

You're trying to tell me there is no room in Syria, Jodan, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, etc for the arab peoples of palestine who have descent from those countries anyway?

    -

So its "fuck off to another country and leave us be", then? I reckon you'd be pretty pissed simply being forcibly asked to move to the next state, let alone go and find a new home in a new country.

    -

If they choose to fire rockets from a school where there are children, THEY are the cowards and THEY are the criminals.

    -

Where is this disconnect coming from in some people? regardless of whether a rocket came from a school yard, there is no excuse for bombing schools containing children. When your retaliatory attacks are killing a massively disproportionate amount of innocent bystanders it is time to rethink your strategy. Period.

    -

You only have to try a little bit to see whats really going on here, and the ignorance and one sided coverage on this subject that is so wide spread makes me sick.

I completely agree, and I am of the opposite opinion to you, despite years of trying to find a way to balance the two sides. These days I'm afraid it all comes down to the amazingly and disgracefully lopsided body count, the 1st world / 3rd world mismatch between the two peoples (due in no small part to the policies of the Israeli government), and the continual failure of Israel to do its bit regarding settlements, blockades etc etc for me.

Their policy is what makes people appalled at them, not some naive lefty love of the underdog.

  • Khurram0

^ exactly. The whole "trying to find balance" thing has been so frustrating over the yeras. Like trying to find the balance between a rapist and a rape victim. Gotta see all sides!!

Anyway - no sign of ceasefire. Today Red Cross, after being held back for four days, found a bombed out house reduced to rubble with four weak and enfeebled children cowering over the body of their dead mother. They'd been like that for days.

    wow.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world…

  • Khurram0

"One medical team found 12 bodies in a shelled house, and alongside them four very young children, too weak to stand, waiting by their dead mothers, the ICRC said.

Aid workers had been denied access to the site for days, it added. "

so when Russia defended itself from Georgia , we said it was an overeaction , but Isreals reactions is just right?

"Noting that Israel was bent on halting Hamas rocket fire into its southern towns, Reid said: "I ask any of my colleagues to imagine that happening here in the United States. Rockets and mortars coming from Toronto in Canada, into Buffalo New York. How would we as a country react?""

truth is, the Palestinians are to the Middle-East what the Roma's are to Europe. They do not seem (in the eyes of neighbours) to belong anywhere. nobody wants them. egypt doesn't want them, saudi-arabia doesn't want them. even Iran isn't exactly standing there with open arms..unless ofcourse, they want to score politically, then the Palestinians are their friends. And as for Iran, they just want to (ab)use the Palestinian anger to have rockets launched at Israel. That is why Iran delivers. Not because they really pity so much with the lives of the Palestinians.

The Palestinians are to neighbouring countries just a political playcard.

If Iran would have really cared about Palestinians they could do a million better things..
