i would hope this is just an example of what goes wrong when you have a military with billions of pounds to spend on high tech and nuclear weapons that is largely made up of potentially inexperienced reservists rather than something orchestrated.
but this just adds to long list of clear examples why the israeli offensive strategy is a failure and why the US military funding and isolation strategy is a failure.

Arabs are just sitting back watching Isreal and the mother west dig a huge hole for themselves.

- yes, that's some precision bombing going on there.. //janne76
- The first one is a SMOKE bomb so militants can't see advancing troops and position mortarts. LOLliveslow
- this is no smoke, it's actually white phosphorus and its a WMD banned under the Geneva conventionGeorgesII

Please read that. Did you just make the "WMD" and "banned under Geneva Conventions" part up? or were you just misinformed?liveslow - http://en.wikipedia.…

do you really think israel is bombing random and innocent people?
are you that fucking stupid.
The coward terrorists are hiding shit and themselves among the innocents.... (figures).
if someone was lobbing missiles at your home, you're telling me you wouldn't want your govmnt to do something?
if cuba launched missiles at the US and us here in miami, you're telling me the US doesn't have every right to go in and stop it???????????
- how old are you?moamoa
- dconstrukt, please, rethink what you said.janne76
- excuse me? i'm telling you facts.... but funny how NO ONE can answer the question at the end.... hmmm.dconstrukt
- dconstrukt0
and the map bullshit.... you're telling half the story (of course).
you're conveniently forgetting that the palestinians had that land for YEARS, and did *nothing* with it.
Where were the cities or infrastructure they build during all that time?
why all of a sudden once the land is built up do they want it?
- you are so negative. you don't seem to care at all about the lives of the Palestinians.janne76
- you're an idiot. I wrote several times I don't condone anyone killing anyone... but shit *every* country has a right to defend its people, ESPECIALLY against terrorists. (no ones bitching about the US INVADING another country?)dconstrukt
- so because they didnt build up the land they lose it, you're retarded.DrBombay

In case you hadn't noticed over the last few years it is Israel that has invaded and occupied land (lebanon, gaza, west bank, Golan Heights etc etc) while placing economic sanctions on Gaza preventing the delivery of food, medicine and fuel.
The simple story is that Israel has forced Gaza into a desperate situation - hence the rockets.
- funny... you're telling HALF the story so of course it fits your needs.... they were in lebanon because hesballah KIDNAPPED israeli soldiers and were lobbing missles!dconstrukt
- it's not about fitting needs.janne76
- sorry but you are wrong. "hezbollah" came about because of the israeli invasion of lebanon.lowimpakt
- Every place they occupied they gave up once it was secure. The only reason they are back in Gaza is Hamas can't resist firing rockets at them.liveslow

i saw footage yesterday of a Palestinian ambulance worker being shot in the leg trying to rescue children.

- janne760
dconstrukt, stop your negative attitude. the whole world is seeing Israels response is out of line.
noone agrees with shooting rockets at israel..
argh why am i even explaining this all.. you should know..
either you are incredibly lacking IQ, dconstrukt!
- dconstrukt0
janne. who the fuck are you to tell me what I should or shouldn't believe?
Now you speak for the whole world?
I guess the mayor of new york and pres bush and many others don't count as the whole world?
And how do you suggest they stop the missiles coming from terrorists who publicly state they want to wipe your people off the face of the earth?????
I don't condone anyone killing anyone....
BUT I am saying is that every country has every right to defend its citizens and country.
ESPECIALLY against terrorists.
Isn't that what the US is doing?
Whats the difference between this and what the US has done with Iraq?
Of course NO ONE has answered this
if someone was lobbing missiles at your home, you're telling me you wouldn't want your govmnt to do something?
- ukit0
"Whats the difference between this and what the US has done with Iraq?"
The world (measured in popular opinion) condemned the U.S. invasion of Iraq as well. And using that as an example of "every country has a right to defend itself" is ridiculous. There was no threat from Iraq, the whole thing was a trumped up lie as has been shown many times. Don't use one criminal action of a country to justify another.
- +100moamoa
- there was no threat fom iraq, 100% right, but we still went in. Israel is facing a threat... no? 6,000 missles/mortars?dconstrukt

It's pretty intractable. The Gazans consist of direct descendants and actual people who were forced out of southern Israel and the area surrounding Tel Aviv when the country was created.
They want to go back. Wont settle for anything less. That's why support for Hamas is so strong there. Their national symbol is a child holding a "key" to the houses they lost when they were ethnically cleansed from Israel. The memory is painful and bitter.
Israel can never allow them back and maintain the "Jewish character" of the country.
It must destroy them!
- Ethnically cleansed, huh? ANY evidence of this?liveslow

Yay long live Israel. The country made for people who were almost destroyed by ethnic cleansing, simply by ethnic cleansing!
Isn't history a bitch?
- Once again, please show any evidence of ethnic cleansing.liveslow

- surely if Israel is "ethnic cleansing" as you say, there are more resources than books on amazon. Something we can all read?liveslow

terrorism needs to be redefined. the boundaries between state terrorism and ethnic/religious terrorism is too vague to even handle a term as terrorism properly.

Since 2002 there has been a movement within the IDF that is against the occupation of Gaza. Hundreds of soldiers have signed up.
http://www.couragetorefuse.org/E…
This is their letter....
* We, reserve combat officers and soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces, who were raised upon the principles of Zionism, sacrifice and giving to the people of Israel and to the State of Israel, who have always served in the front lines, and who were the first to carry out any mission, light or heavy, in order to protect the State of Israel and strengthen it.
* We, combat officers and soldiers who have served the State of Israel for long weeks every year, in spite of the dear cost to our personal lives, have been on reserve duty all over the Occupied Territories, and were issued commands and directives that had nothing to do with the security of our country, and that had the sole purpose of perpetuating our control over the Palestinian people. We, whose eyes have seen the bloody toll this Occupation exacts from both sides.
* We, who sensed how the commands issued to us in the Territories, destroy all the values we had absorbed while growing up in this country.
* We, who understand now that the price of Occupation is the loss of IDF’s human character and the corruption of the entire Israeli society.
* We, who know that the Territories are not Israel, and that all settlements are bound to be evacuated in the end.
* We hereby declare that we shall not continue to fight this War of the Settlements.
* We shall not continue to fight beyond the 1967 borders in order to dominate, expel, starve and humiliate an entire people.
* We hereby declare that we shall continue serving in the Israel Defense Forces in any mission that serves Israel’s defense.
* The missions of occupation and oppression do not serve this purpose – and we shall take no part in them.
- lowimpakt0
from the letter above -
"* We shall not continue to fight beyond the 1967 borders in order to dominate, expel, starve and humiliate an entire people."
Interestingly Hamas had offered a 10 year truce if Israel went back to 1967 borders...

some kid in miami that knows nothing of war, have never grown up in a country where 25% of his classmates are refugees from the middle east conflicts, never had to answer for anything and had everything handed to him has an opinion. great
- not a kid.... i'm half israeli... been there many times and lived there for a bit.... nice try.dconstrukt

yea terrorist I don't even believe in that term ,
anyone can be a fucking terrorist , I put on a scary mask walk into a day care and guess what I just did , caused terror
someone bombs a school , yup that will terrify people
someone runs into a mall starts blasting away, you got it terror
so all perpetrators of terror are then terrorist
- It is so the rules that apply to soldiers under the Geneva convention can be thrown out.danthon
