i sort of just 'down-graded' to something similar as my old bag was a bit to conspicuous... a little too 'big-boy-ish'... here's my new bag:
travels really well... built for a 17" laptop... The North Face has a bunch of laptop bags actually - still sporty-ish... don't say 'hey - come steal my shit' but still look respectable

I have something similar to this (I think its the previous model)
I had to put some pins to cover the "big shot" cause its just terribly lame, other than that I liked it. Got it on ebay for like 40 bucks brand new

jansport firewire bag. isn't this big unless you have it stuffed full. very padded. reviews say it isn't waterproof, but I haven't been out in the rain with it yet.

I can't wait until messenger bags are gone and fanny packs come back. My Mom still wears one and she rocks it.....Hard. It's only a matter of time before the hipsters start wearing fanny packs. Mark my words.... it WILL happen, when it does my Mom will be the most awesome 58 year old Lady on the block.

the north face has a surprising amount of bags... some ugly... some loud... some just right... all a bit sporty of course...
... you can sort by type... choose 'Laptop' for instance - lots built many diff. laptop sizes...
