I met Deftones once. It hardly counts though, I was in a line for autographs. Had them sign my limited edition UK single for "Be Quiet & Drive". Abe looked up when I handed it to him and said "nice!!" I guess they had been signing nothing but White Pony albums before I walked up... this was in 2000.
Also, Stephen Carpenter is a massive dude.

Sting.
My wife was looking after him when he toured here some years ago. Quiet, confident, drinking herbal tea and radiating fucking health.
Chris Martin
A real cock-knocker.
- I believe that about Chris Martin. Saw him on SNL recently, he was (hopefully) high as a kite.gramme
- Acted like a total idiot, jumping around like he was walking on coals.gramme
- ...and it wasn’t even in a “fan” kind of situation. It was a private party of about 20 people. Wank.MrOneHundred

Michael Jordan. He used to gamble with my good friends dad in high school. His favorite gatorade is citrus cooler and he loves cranberry vodkas. And his deep wallets made up for his bad golf game.

I met a few guitarists when I used to be a teaching assistant at a guitar summer camp. Andy Summers from the Police was a really nice guy, big into jazz.
Hung out with Van Morrison at the bar backstage at this little festival I played at when I was younger (he was headlining, I was one of the first on the bill). He was moody and drank A LOT, as you'd expect. The most celebs I ever encountered was at a swanky celeb design party I went to a couple of years ago. It was for Established & Sons and Stella McCartney's husband runs it. So she was there as were
Gwyneth Paltrow
Chris martin
Paul McCartney
Zaha Hadid
etc.
My mate was really drunk and kept harassing Sharleen Spiteri from Texas. But overall, I really want to know where I can meet Liv Tyler... I hear she's single again!

I met various big Djs, from digweed to oakenfold and all those that were somewhat popular in the early -mid 90s.
but the best one for me was Tarantino.
Last year I finished a gig in a museum and I went w some friends to a bar called citizen kane in LA, it was about midnight and my friends were looking for parking, I was at the corner of the bar, calling another group of friends that got lost, and as I hanged up, I saw Quentin Tarantino crossing the street coming towards me, I had my canon rebel hanging on my neck. and on the corner behind me, there were 3 guys with better cameras. They started snapping photos of quentin (and his 2 girl friends walking w him) and suddenly he is in front of me, as he is getting a bit upset w the papparazzi he says "all right, all right.. one more" to one of them, but you could tell he was getting tired.
I found the courage to talk to him and I say: Can I shake your hand? I'm a huge fan, I just saw Grindhouse last week and I absolutely loved it" (or something like that) and he looks at me, he looks at my camera, looks at me again and says: Thank you so much, I appreciate that. I didn't know what else to say after that and he was like, ok have a good night.
All this time I forgot I had the camera in my neck, and I can hear the papparazzi talking behind me, who is this guy? is he new? I don't know, I don't think he shot a single frame..
I think everyone thought I was a papparazzi, and I was so stocked I saw tarantino that I forgot about my camera.
Then he was inside the bar, and my friend wanted to buy him a drink but I told him he seemed like he was not on a good night.
