In South West Africa, (Namibia), I once met Al Gore when I was a Peace Corps volunteer. I was drastically unimpressed with him. Although, he seemed about 100 pounds lighter. He was VP at the time and making some b*llshit stop on some uneventful Southern Africa money handout tour. Also, in Namibia I witnessed parades for both Fidel Castro and Michael Jackson.
- I suppose Cheney would have been more impressiveGlitterati_Duane
- probably not, but looking back at him and his global warming claims. it's just laughable********

ozzie guillen - super cool but always calls me pedro.
scooter ward - completely destroyed at the hard rock hotel bar in vegas. his x was chatting it up with me and he walked over all pissed that she was there with another dude. i had no idea who he was but he sure had some big dudes with him. i swallowed my pride, was a total puss and i ended up walking out of there without getting my ass beaten down. may have been a nice guy under different circumstances but acted a total dick after he saw me jamming my tongue down his girls throat.
jaime pressly - literally bumped into her at a bar in las vegas. we paid a bouncer to get into a small bar that was rented out for her birthday. right after walking in i turned the corner and we bumped into each other. i said "hey happy birthday! it's nice seeing you again", shook her hand and moved on hoping she wouldn't call me out. the place was kinda lame so we left soon after. super hot in person though.
charlie bryant - professional pool player - just had a beer with this guy last night. super cool and down to earth. he was shooting in a tournament at a place i happen to play out of. i asked him for some tips on how to better my game and he says "the secret is, don't miss". haha. very cool guy.
shakira - many years ago i interviewed her for a music website i used to work for. she's borderline midget short. super hot though.- jaime pressly is psychotically hot7point34

Went to high school with both the Time Warner "Fiber" guy:
...and with Mikey from the old Life cereal campaign.
Also, I used to manage a little record shop and both Matt and Kevin Dillon were regular customers. Well Kevin was. He'd bum cigarettes from me. Matt would run in on xmas eve every year like clockwork.
And tons of people in the music industry I won't bother listing.

i met jason mewes (jay and silent bob)
he was folding t-shirts in the jay and silent bob comic book store in redbank NJ. talked to him a bit, didn't geek on him but it was pretty fucking cool as whole reason we went to the store was because we liked clerks and mallrats.
apparently he was a pizza delivery guy as well. even after the movies came out.

Eddie Vedder used to stay at the hotel I worked at in Whistler. When he would check in I would bring him and his gear to the room and chat about snowboarding, the conditions and were he should ride. He was always super friendly and chilled out and usually visiting with Tim Robbins.

also robbie gould. i was in a suite with him and a few other guys not too long ago for a concert at soldier field. he saw a guy in the deck below our suite with this jersey on and grabbed me as his "body guard" and we went down the the lower deck and he signed the guys jersey. i don't know of many people who would go out of their way to do that. it was very cool and he made the guys day.

Bill Clinton.. He was in Starbucks in London, so I said hi, shook his hand, and had a photo with him. nice guy.

New York - I went to the same high school as EPMD, Biz Markie, and Craig Mack
All of Wu-tang except Method man RZA and GZA.
Whenever in Pittsburgh, Ghostface and Cappadonna would
hang out at this clothing shop with us for the day.Jason Mewes as well. he was filming Dogma here in PGH and we took him out for drinks. He started talking to some girl and her BF got pissed and punched him in the face. So my friends and I grabbed up the guy and Mewes did a karate kick to the guys chest.
as a DJ - DJ'd fro KRS ONE - which sucked because he yelled at me on stage. Also opened up for Public Enemy, De La Soul and the Arsonists.
Sold a paintings to Elizabeth Banks and David Conrad from the Ghost whisperer show
- i just saw GZA last week live and shook his hand after. told him he 'threw it down proper' and he said 'cool peace'KwesiJ
- oddly enough i met jason right before dogma was released, he was folding dogma t-shirts in the shop7point34
- supposedly when he was filming here, Kevin Smith hired some girl to pretty much keep an eye on him so he wouldn't disapear and buy heroin. He did bum a smoke from me, haha.mangosnot

I met Sheryl Crow and her parents...really nice, and down to earth. I also met Eric Kretz, he was a real nice guy.
The strangest "famous person" day I had was in LA. I was leaving my office and Mandy Moore was sitting at this coffee shop outside, and we smiled at each other. I was feeling pretty good about myself and stopped next to this guy waiting to cross the street. He turned to me and asked for an autograph. I told him I wasn't anyone famous, and he didn't believe me. He said he liked my work, and loved Truman Show.
"You think I'm Jim Carrey!? He's almost 50 years old!"
"I know, I'll be cool...I won't make a big scene, just sign this paper."
"Look, I promise, I'm not Jim Carrey."
"Why are all you actors such assholes? I'm just asking for an autograph. I'm not asking for money or anything."
"Seriously, I'm not...oh fuck it, I'll sign it...nice to meet you man."
"Thanks a lot Jim, I really did love that Truman Show."

I got the chance to meet:
Orson Scott Card (writer of Enders Game)
super nice guy...just incredibly friendly..despite the fact that he's a rabid homophobe...other than that one thing tho, he's just great to talk to ...(oh hang on..he's also ultra right wing and a bush supporter lol....anyhow, i met him back round 1993, so he was all cool n the gang at the time..Bob Mould (of Husker Du)
also incredibly cool...got a chance to talk to him....taller and bigger than i'd thought...pretty huge guy....Len Nimoy (spock)
this is a LONG time ago...he was jay-walking across the street, and my brother and my mom almost hit him (which is hilarious since my mom thinks he's the sexiest man ever...)Jeffery Zeldman
ok..he's famous to us atleast, even if he's not exactly a movie star...
very humble, very soft spoken...and exactly like you would imagine..just a really nice gentleman...
there was a AIGA conference years ago in Miami at the Eden Rock Hotel, and i got to meet him there...just spoke with him a bit when he checked in the first night, and chatted with him after his presentation...
definitely the hi-lite for me of the whole event...

When I worked for Borders headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI, sorting coupons for a few weeks... I was sitting there with my feet up on the table doing work, and suddenly, there's Richard Simmons standing right across from me. He gave me a real dirty look, and I was like WTF?
It was stupid... he had a group of people following him around and those hideous short shorts...
- How'd you end up in West Virginia from Ann Arbor?boobs
- Wife found a job here... we'll probably end up in another state soon!SigDesign
- Did you know a girl named Desiree Salmon?Knuckleberry
