I met various big Djs, from digweed to oakenfold and all those that were somewhat popular in the early -mid 90s.
but the best one for me was Tarantino.
Last year I finished a gig in a museum and I went w some friends to a bar called citizen kane in LA, it was about midnight and my friends were looking for parking, I was at the corner of the bar, calling another group of friends that got lost, and as I hanged up, I saw Quentin Tarantino crossing the street coming towards me, I had my canon rebel hanging on my neck. and on the corner behind me, there were 3 guys with better cameras. They started snapping photos of quentin (and his 2 girl friends walking w him) and suddenly he is in front of me, as he is getting a bit upset w the papparazzi he says "all right, all right.. one more" to one of them, but you could tell he was getting tired.
I found the courage to talk to him and I say: Can I shake your hand? I'm a huge fan, I just saw Grindhouse last week and I absolutely loved it" (or something like that) and he looks at me, he looks at my camera, looks at me again and says: Thank you so much, I appreciate that. I didn't know what else to say after that and he was like, ok have a good night.
All this time I forgot I had the camera in my neck, and I can hear the papparazzi talking behind me, who is this guy? is he new? I don't know, I don't think he shot a single frame..
I think everyone thought I was a papparazzi, and I was so stocked I saw tarantino that I forgot about my camera.
Then he was inside the bar, and my friend wanted to buy him a drink but I told him he seemed like he was not on a good night.
