If the negatives out weight the positives then leave. Most jobs are gonna give you some kind of experience and you have to look at that as the positive part. My current job is my first job out of school. I don't get the chance to do as much design and the kind of design i like (web). Lately i've been real negative too about my job, but in the end i realize it's work, i couldn't find a job for months, and it's experience for my resume. I'll leave after a year or so and find something better, but in the mean time i'm gonna learn as much as i can and impress on the projects i really like.

I used to work in a high street department store warehouse at college.
every saturday i would wear extra underpants home. and then sell them to flat mates. Enterprise young rybo.

I'm a student as well-and while I recognize the need for rants (because believe me I have done my share of them), I've also learned that we're put in situations/jobs/etc. for a reason. And maybe this shit printing job is there to teach you something about the design world. Maybe not.
All I know is that life is too short to be hating where you are, so try to find something good in this. Otherwise- get the fuck outta there.

All I know is that I would have jumped at the chance to work in a print house at 19+

katekelly's post reminded me that the path you think you want to walk isn't necessarily the best one for you. This, however, can only be learned through time. My training is in audio recording. But i moved to an area that i liked rather than an area where there was an abundance of work. My friend got me a job at a studio that did mostly video and some audio. As a matter of necessity, i learned how to edit video.
10 years later i'm able to work out of my home doing videos and still provide for my family, whereas if i had pursued audio, i probably wouldn't have had the time to make a family, much less provide for it OR be able to be with them while i work.

- is that an A4 sheet or a businesscard?mistermik
- spelling error - you've got a number 8 in the word eight23kon
- why is the 'logo' bigger on the back than on the front?********
- The letter spacing in the word Week is too open, looks strange underneath DAYSA which in contrast is very tight!!uncle_helv
- i like the composition. more contrasts in the colors maybe or other placements (?):

So wait, Rybo.
You're saying that a client came in at the end of your day, today, and you've already spit that out?
If that's the case, design isn't a race. Spend some time and think about your client, their needs, their customer base and demographics. What's this logo saying?- it's saying that an 8 makes a perfectly reasonable 'g'...and i agree :)exador1

let me get this straight...
you work in a print shop and someone came in and asked you to do their logo.
and now you have posted all they details online, and to make it worse you said you took 30 secs on it?
- i wonder if Nigel likes a drink on a monday night. heads for door...mistermik

rybo, quick crit:
-you need to learn how to kern boy.
-I think the typographic mark is fine, just kern it and kern it and kern it some more.
-Try alternate color shifts for the type ie: 8 and days can be the same, everything else is different, also try applying some more color to the rest of the info.
-The contact information is really close to the margins, if you could consolidate some of the information it might bring it in a little.- aye all the details on the right look completely "undesigned".
maybe bold company name?23kon
- aye all the details on the right look completely "undesigned".

i like it rybo.
colour choice - good
typeface - goodnot sure u gave the concept much thought tho because it is just a typographic logo. i.e. i cant tell what the company does from your logo or business card which kinda gives me the impression that you've bullshitted again and fabricated this little story but......
1. kerning needs sorting out - an error u constantly make
2. as uncle_helv pointed DAYSA doesnt look right so either change the colour to distinguish some difference or fuck about with other possibilities.

nice of you to post that dude's details on a forum!
