Jesus, really?
That's like asking "I have a fridge full of food. Does anyone know if I can make some dinner?"

Same as everyone else here.
- I keep my apps folder in my dock.
- Usually I just type it into Spotlight. So fast and easy!

whats the real benefit of using quicksilver as an app launcher over spotlight? I know quicksilver does more than just launch apps... but if all i want is an app launcher, isn't spotlight the ticket, or am I missing something?

Just put the most commonly used ones on the dock and the rest in a stack?...

i automate programs together.
so if i open final cut pro...i know i'll want photoshop too.

Launchbar, and it's more responsive than quicksilver

I use Quicksilver and this recent app tip

Why do you use that FTP app (the one with the truck icon – can't remember its name, but I used to have it) when you can FTP from Dreamweaver? Dump it. Word and Excel – do you really use them so much that it needs to be in the dock? Toss 'em. Quark? No, no, no. Outta here. PSC, NBK & DEV? I don't know what those are. Get rid of them. That weird eye in the blue diamond icon reminds me of the logo that Time/Warner flirted with a while back. Lose that too.
I've cleaned up some of the clutter in your dock. Of course, you can sweep it under the rug like I do (option-command D).

I use Tigerlaunch...it puts an icon in your menu:

How many apps to you use that regularly that they need to be in the dock all the time? If it's an app I don't use at least once every 1-3 days, it gets the chop.
Besides for those apps that aren't in the dock, it's very quick to just start typing the apps name into spotlight or quicksilver...

you could use windows-style small icons instead of ones made for blind people.

DragThing! Awesome for custom docks and such.

The stuff you use all the time will appear in the Recent Items menu in the Apple menu. You could rely on that to find the stuff you use constantly

Exactly meffid. ⌘space all the way. Faster than anything else.
Also, I hate how colour labels in Bridge and Finder aren't the same thing and interchangeable. WTF?

I don't even know how to make spaces on the dock or change how it looks... fuck it.
Command-Space start typing, hit enter.
- what's that, space commander?invisiblechamber
- spotlight
uan - suspected it - but doesn't work here...invisiblechamber

Just type Command-Shit-A to automatically open a the Applications Window. Type the name of your app. Command-Option-O to open Application and close the window at the same time.
