I tried using one instead of a mouse fulltime, but was waay to sore on my wrists after a while, guess im just trained to have my hands in a certain position with the mouse

Love my Intuos as-well. Tried out my mates Graphical before i purchased mine. The Graphical felt cheap and the pen was light and nasty compared to the Intous. You may have to compromise on size but its worth it.

intuos3 A5

is it worth going for the A4 or does the A5 do the job nicely?
- My A4 is a little too big.Jnr_Madison
- but you can map it down to what size you like.Jnr_Madison

Don't get a cheaper version, go for the intuos3, and remember you probably think you need it bigger than you actually do.

I like 9X12 best. But I did fine on an old 98 3X5 economical one too.

I have Intuos 3 UBS port at work and a first generation Wacom GD serial port at home. I honestly can't tell the difference.

Intuos3 A5. Any bigger and it'd be a full day workout moving everywhere.

a while ago, i noticed that my graphire sucked in the mornings and was good in the afternoons. I would be all shaky and double click things and non- or over- responsive.
turns out, i just needed to cut down on the coffee.
there's no point to the above story.

i know it probably does not compare, but does anyone use or have in the past used a bamboo tablet? are they any good?
- boobs0
I've got one of the wee bamboo fun tablets, and I think it was a great purchase! It's wonderful! Having it right next to my keyboard, so I can draw with my right hand, and hit keyboard shortcuts with my left hand, works out nicely.
- got the same, really greatelektro
- I've got a bambo I think it rocks for the money, I need the larger one thoughepete22
- i'm so happy to hear that. was wondering if i should get it or not. can't afford anything else for the moment and thought this would be a great start. thanx! :)sea_sea

When it's hot, I like to flop my weenie on the pad so it leaves moisture marks.

Oh, to be that pad!

I love my a4. The rest of the -creatives- sits on a5.
They've stopped asking if the a4 isn't too big, finally.
What I'm trying to say is: why don't you go in to a store and have a go on both before you decide yourself (and not listen to us)?
- mirrorball0
soooo, I might be doing a bit of CAD on this too, would an A4 pad be ok for it or is A3 the way to go?

I beat my wife with mine.
