Seriously though, eieio, isn't there a pretty big difference between some of what Jesus said IN the Bible being metaphorical and the entire Bible being metaphorical? What about Jesus being the son of God and rising from the dead? Is that all not to be taken seriously either?

There are a lot of people that classify themselves as Christians because they were brought up that way. Where I live there are tons of catholics. They all used condoms, fucked before marriage, jacked off, all that shit. It's a ton of bullshit, but watch out questioning anything pertaining to Jesus. Rationality will head straight out the window.

The funny thing is that atheists and agnostics are for the most part a pretty tolerant bunch of people. It's not like when I'm over at a religious person's house and someone says a prayer at dinner, I stand up and starting screaming "This is all bullshit!", nope, I reverently bow my head and mouth the words of prayer to their imaginary God.
