And, I repeat...
Washington Post reports:
Chris Dodd received $160,000 in campaign donations from AIG.- so?********
- Do you really want to delve into how much and to whom they gave donations to?********
- Given their outrage at AIG bonus recipients, they should consider giving the money back, that's all.********
- ... and yes, Obama recieved a boat load of cash from AIG also.********
- ummmm, do you even know who appointed the CEO of AIG?********
- end.********
- morilla, please educate me. Who?********
- wow........********
- wow? Never heard of him.********
- so?
- ********0
^ Do you realize what Chris Dodd does? Given this, should he take ANY MONEY whatsoever from financial institutions? Hell no. What a hypocrite.
- BattleAxe0
it does not take much to see how crooked and corrupt this whole "stimulus and bail out" has been ; as someone said
now what?
- ********0
You don't get how thinks work in Washington do you? Everyone gets fuckin' kickbacks, and I mean everyone. It's how it's always been done.
- ********0
^ Wasn't Obama supposed to put an end to all if that nonesense???

^^ Now what? Not sure. Feels bad though. We'll have to wait and see. But as Abraham Lincoln said...
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
Could this be "it"?

Forgot to mention:
The US Government FORCES Chrysler to merge with Fiat. The deal is done.
Yep, more change that we had better believe in!!!
- the deal was made month ago, please update your freereps rssGeorgesII
- The suggestion may have been made months ago, but the deal was approved today.********
- ... wait, I said "approved" when I meant to say... "forced down their fucking throats... sorry.********
- ********0
This SHIT is just too hard to believe!
Obama To Fiat, Chrysler: Come Together, Right Now
- I believe the deal was in the works before Obama made us think it was his..zenmasterfoo
- BonSeff0
Obama needs to force GetRefresh to go rub one out.

dude, can you read?
"Fiat and Chrysler announced in January that the two were entering a partnership in which Fiat would take 35.0% of Chrysler in return for sharing its technology and product platforms with the firm yet would not pay any cash into the deal, with a final accord between the two to be announced in April. Chrysler is expected to tap into Fiat’s product line of smaller cars."
He is telling them to hurry up and make it happen. They did not make this happen.
- "He" should not tell them anything. That's my point.********
- obama isn't forcing a bailout, they are requesting it.. with that, comes termsBonSeff
- "He" should not tell them anything. That's my point.

I'm not comfortable with this GM firing in the least bit. Good thing for Ford that they said 'shove it.' I hope they continue to stay independent and off the gov tit. I hope they out-perform GM into oblivion. I hope everyone sees the damage of the UAW and gov regulations. I hope our gov gets a huge black eye from all their meddling. This nationalization movement is shit, it's not the answer.
- please.. firing? you and i have nnooooo idea what the negotiations wereBonSeff
- 20 million plus - booo fucking hooBonSeff
- He was there 30+ years. This isn't one of your 'guy was there 2 years and walked with $___ . And yeah, 'firing.'tommyo
- no offense dude, but the fact he was there for so long = fails.BonSeff
- act like you dont know.
while dude was churning out hummersBonSeff - toyota was introducing priusBonSeff
- gimme a breakBonSeff
- You think he's fully responsible for that? Why are ALL US automakers virtually lame ducks compared to imports?tommyo
- I'm not saying they didn't make mistakes. Not in the slightest. But your class warfare 'boo hoo 20 mil' is tired and unrealistic.tommyo

Encourage your Representative to support the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, HR 1207. This is a no brainer, something everyone on this board should be behind.

I see BonSeff thinks he knows something about the American automobile industry. Hey BonSeff, did you know that the DOWNFALL of the American auto industry began with and was acutely precipitated by Bill Clinton and his administration?
Yes, Clinton is in large part to blame for their total, and almost complete failure. If your a nice little BonSeff, I'll explain. :-)
- Why don't you post this shit on your own social network, huh?TheBlueOne
- Oh, and good morning sunshine.TheBlueOne
- Why don't you FUCK OFF ASSHOLE.********
- you are such a rubeBonSeff
- BonSeff0
the japanese were not invited to the PNGV program, so they freaked and got fucking BUSY with hybrids, GM was churning out hummers.
they are 10 years behind toyota and honda.
i do have a bit of a clue about the auto industry, you fucking rube.
- Exactly right Bonseff. I'm impressed. And, Clinton got the whole mess started. Do you know how?********
- I've seen more Hummers than Prius on the road. People wanted them despite your personal green inclinations.tommyo
- The Hummer was not the downfall of Detroit. Actually the same sort of attractiveness is what Detroit needs desperately.tommyo
- We can all just hope that it's a bit less 'Big American' stereotype. But they need innovation nonetheless.tommyo
- cause hummers were marketed hard to dudes with little peepeesBonSeff
- I understand your anger at Hummers, personally I don't like them either. At the very least though, can you think of anytommyo
- other American automobile that captured as much interest in the last decade and a half?tommyo
- suburbans, yukons?BonSeff
- It is kind of funny to me how us Americans think that if you have a child then you need a gigantic car. When I was in Greece Itommyo
- remember seeing a whole family on a scooter .. dad, mom with baby strapped to her chest and a toddler hanging on the back.tommyo
- Exactly right Bonseff. I'm impressed. And, Clinton got the whole mess started. Do you know how?
- designbot0
With all do respect, to blame one person (ie; president Bush) for the fall of an entire industry is completely absurd.
- Granted, but Clinton got the party started and then did not play the "responsible chaperone".********
- I agree designbot. Detroit made a lot of this mess themselves. Those UAW concessions are INSANE. Lots of blame for all.tommyo
- Granted, but Clinton got the party started and then did not play the "responsible chaperone".

NOTE:
My Post = Respectful
Bonseff's Response = Foul-mouthedWhy the nastiness? I thought Left-Wingers were supposed to actually care about their fellow man?

when chevy demonstrated the volt to the media, it was a disaster. it climbed a small hill at like 6mph, and then pooped out.. the execs at chevy asked the media if they could just speed up the frame rate on their footage... sad really
- what's really sad is that years ago there was a fully operational electric car in production, and they give us this?!kona
- this? it's sad cause in a way they're like "see, see how bad electric is? we must stick with gas..."kona
- Gov greed and the Big Oil were responsible for that. Our Corp Government at work for us little people! YAY!tommyo
- point being a car was already made. how can they actually go BACKWARDS with making a new one?kona
- Didn't they have some 'Lease Only' thing. I heard how a guy took his in for maintenance and they took it back. hahatommyo
- that would totally suck if true. i'd burn the fucking place down if they took my car like that. late at night...kona
- ... throw a can of gas through the front window and run like hell. ok i would just probably do nothing and sulk about it for weeks.kona
- a few weeks writing about how angry i was online.kona
- TheBlueOne0
No, seriously Get Refresh, not saying I don't mind engaging people with viewpoints other than mine here in a respectful manner (which you threw out the window when you talked trash about my parentage and my education and called me a "dildo"), but you claim you run a social network, which I looked at which is chock full of people who seem to love talking about, as you say "Nobama" and how he's a socialist and part of the new world order and how somehow NASA proves that God exists but it's a conspiracy or some strange shit. I mean if that's your site, why aren't you over there everyday posting your opinions there? I mean you can do it here as well, hey, free country right, but why aren't you doing it at your own site?
Maybe because everyone there would agree with you and here you get to be a trolling dickhead?
Yeah. I bet that's it.
- 95% of the Members at The People's Lounge support Obama. So, you're wrong.********
- Still, why not post there as much as you do here? Or you don't want to troll your own community?TheBlueOne
- I am the owner of TPL so I must be restrained, because TPL is for the people, not for me.********
