See I voted for Obama, and I like his stimulus approach and have serious problems with his monetary policy so far. I was conversing last month with an old smart, hardworking conservative friend of mine who agreed that while the better man may have won the election, he refuses to see him as our Messiah. It was weird to hear, because in a way it was a prepackaged counter to an argument I never made. I think a lot of people are a little anxious about a new president with too much popularity or political capital.

Yes, "The One" is a smart cookie, but he's only been President for a couple of months and he's already becoming a TOTAL DISASTER.

1) I am a first generation immigrant to this country
2) I grew up in a single parent household— very poor
3) I have no HS or college degreeDespite this, and many more challenges and hardships throughout my life, I worked hard in pursuit of the "American Dream", and have achieved quite a bit of success. I have several homes, several businesses, a beautiful wife of sixteen years and two lovely children. No handouts. No government help. No whining.
So please, don't pretend to know my agenda. I am an independent. I am a centrist. I have plenty of friends who are both Rs and Ds.
I ask nothing from my government with exception to keeping our country safe. THAT IS ALL. You should live the same. BHut my sense is that most of you think someone— Obama, whoever, "owes" you something. Bush, Obama, they owe you NOTHING, except your right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
This does not mean that they are to silver-platter you lazy-ass losers with food-stamps, new roads and whatever the hell else is within the so-called "Recovery-Act".
I am NOT comfortable with Government deciding how to spend MY hard-earned money. I am NOT comfortable with Government deciding who gets to receive MY hard-earned money. Is this so hard to understand, or agree with?
If your answer is "yes", than you should consider moving to another country— France would suit you well. If your answer is "no", than perhaps we can have a discussion.
I had high hopes for the big "O"— I didn't vote for him, but I was willing to disregard his campaign lies and deceit as "necessary rhetoric" to become elected. However, once elected, he has already proved that I was right all along, and I am soo sorry to report that Obama IS NOT the agent of change that he promised to be. He is not bi-partisan. He is going to bring our great country to her knees. So stay tuned, sadly for us all, the worst is yet to come.
