I feel just like when I did before bush was re-elected..no way he is going to win again, there is no way dude..
and then... SLAP! just like that.. and now we are here- How can he slap!?TheBlueOne

but don't people remember what happened under the republican regime? we are still under it right? how can the difference between obama and mc cain is so small? can someone explain that to me?

True, but Bush vs. Kerry was a much closer race. If you looked at the poll numbers the whole time, they were trading leads, never more than 1-3 points apart. Obama has been consistently ahead for most of the race by 3-5 points. Now maybe McCain will win, but it would be really surprising compared to the 2004 race.
- 5 points.. thats what I'm saying..
it should be at least 40 pointsMeeklo - we'll see how large the diff is when all is said and done.********
- it could very well be an electoral landslidelackofcolor
- Even then people like JazX will deny it...TheBlueOne

Honestly, my gut feeling is that Obama will probably win. Will I vote for him, NO. However, I will say this, and monkeyshine, if she's here, can back me up on it. I don't think it's ever healthy for one party to keep office longer than eight years, regardless of the Senate and House and you can quote me on it. Yet, is Obama experienced enough. I doubt it.

Well, it's easy to assume you understand (no matter where you live on planet earth) that you are living through the disaster caused by the republican regime. So we can all assume it has to be someone else.

Ayn Rand:
"The only proper purpose of a government is to protect man's rights, which means: to protect him from physical violence....The only proper functions of a government are: the police, to protect you from criminals; the army, to protect you from foreign invaders; and the courts, to protect your property and contracts from breach or fraud by others, and to settle disputes by rational rules, according to objective law."Outside of the Libertarians, whose platform, in our time, will probably never see the light of day, the Republican Party still represents the best chance to combat big government (Democrat Party).

The rereading of Atlas was also important to the cult because the wooden, posturing, and one-dimensional heroes and heroines were explicitly supposed to serve as role models for every Randian.******** - readings of Atlas. @JazX:
"The worst thing you can say about libertarians is that they are intellectually immature, frozen in the worldview many of them absorbed from reading Ayn Rand novels in high school. Like other ideologues, libertarians react to the world's failing to conform to their model by asking where the world went wrong. Their heroic view of capitalism makes it difficult for them to accept that markets can be irrational, misunderstand risk, and misallocate resources or that financial systems without vigorous government oversight and the capacity for pragmatic intervention constitute a recipe for disaster. They are bankrupt, and this time, there will be no bailout."

Ah, I love wingnuts. The dumb ones are just fucking dumb and the smart ones play dumb to make money off the rubes. This week's example:
Conservative Wingnut Bob Grant: "All right, Sue. I want to thank you very much for your call. It's a pleasure to hear from someone who's paying attention to what's going on out there.
But really folks, did you notice Obama is not content with just having several American flags, plain old American flags with the 50 states represented by 50 stars? He has the "O" flag. And that's what that "O" is. That's what that "O" is. Just like he did with the plane he was using. He had the flag painted over, and the "O" for Obama. Now, these are symptom -- these things are symptomatic of a person who would like to be a potentate -- a dictator. And I really see this in this man.
Hey, I could be wrong. But I wouldn't say this on this great radio station if I didn't think there was some merit in this conjecture. And I stress conjecture. And so much of what we talk about is conjecture, is theory, is opinion based on intuition, based on some facts, based on some history."
Photo of Obama in question:
Commentary from the wingnuts online:
Hey numbnuts - that's the Official flag of the state of Ohio. Morans.
- hahaha! awesometommyo
