True, but Bush vs. Kerry was a much closer race. If you looked at the poll numbers the whole time, they were trading leads, never more than 1-3 points apart. Obama has been consistently ahead for most of the race by 3-5 points. Now maybe McCain will win, but it would be really surprising compared to the 2004 race.
