- I, like most Americans have no idea why Trump is shady when it comes to Russia. But I know it has nothing to do with Patriotism and everything to do with money.sofakingback
- You don't hire an oil company exec, buddy of Putin to be SOS for no reason. All of those guys are about to fuck the US and make the shadiest deals.sofakingback
- All of this shit is just a stupid distraction. Why question the Russian ties when you have emails and wires and Mexicans and moose-lambssofakingback

Today, Tuesday 7 March 2017, WikiLeaks begins its new series of leaks on the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. Code-named "Vault 7" by WikiLeaks, it is the largest ever publication of confidential documents on the agency.
The first full part of the series, "Year Zero", comprises 8,761 documents and files from an isolated, high-security network situated inside the CIA's Center for Cyber Intelligence in Langley, Virgina. It follows an introductory disclosure last month of CIA targeting French political parties and candidates in the lead up to the 2012 presidential election.

- Snowden's leaks revealed they can penetrate any device. This Vault7 release shows how they do it.
So vendors and security experts know now what they should fixuan - basically they have tools (and zero days) to hack anything...even the encrypted stuff, your smartTV, your phone, your console.uan
- also capability to alter your harddisk firmware to a point they can hide malware on it, collect information and retrieve it later...reads like sci-fi document.uan
- I only recently discovered how the Iran nuclear plant attack was handled - fascinating stufffadein11
- share? also if they're fucking with the CIA, this can't end well_niko

“Well, we're getting rid of the individual mandate. We're getting rid of those things that people said that they don't want. And you know what? Americans have choices. And they've got to make a choice,” Chaffetz (R-Utah) said on CNN’s “New Day.” “And so maybe rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and they want to go spend hundreds of dollars on that, maybe they should invest in their own health care. They've got to make those decisions themselves.”

Being a Type 1 Diabetic, I'm pretty well fucked. I love in his interview when he says that the problem with healthcare is COST (which I agree with), but their solution is to make people pay more. Neither the ACA or this POS plan do anything to fix the cost issue. My insulin alone is ~1k a month. Insulin, like a lot of other drugs, has seen the cost go way up over the last eight or nine years.
- My step daughter is also a Type 1 Diabetic.
Here in Portugal the insulin is free... We only pay for the test stripsdmay - ^ yes, in canada, as wellGnash
- We also got the insulin pump for free, but only kids under 16 get it.dmay
- Richest nation in the world makes it's citizens pay for life saving medication - embarrassing. At least Obama had a go at making things better.fadein11
- My wife's sister and brother in law are docs in Germany and they're routinely shocked how much we pay for drugs they use.. that are MADE in the US.mathinc
- fadein11 keeps insisting as the basis of his nose drips, that the US is the richest nation in the world. Try Qatar, Luxembourg, Singapore, Brunei or UAE********
- well less money on military expansion and more on looking after citizens would certainly help wouldn't it... you seem to be getting easily triggered today omgfadein11
- at your previous request for a simplistic meme i give you nose drips, to thank you for getting that piece of information totally wrong. :)********
- Portugal is nowhere near US in nation's richness but we still try to take care of our own...dmay
- Unless you're funding the military of other countries, it is an investment of security, training and employment for its own citizens.********

- I killed your cactus. :( It lived for years. I thought I had killed it the first month you gave it to me—but I brought back. It died (again) about 8 months ago.PonyBoy
- Which is cool cuz it gives your a reason to stop by again (cactus replacement!). :D
Hope you're doing well, man! <3PonyBoy

Can someone please explain how the travel ban is useful if it's only going to be in place for a mere 90 days? That seems like a temporary fix for what they consider a global crisis. I feel like I'm missing how this would fix a problem long-term, if it's only for 3 months.
- useful distractionBonSeff
- i understand the plan was to, plug the holes/adjust the vetting process, during the 90 daysGnash
- mono - it won't achieve anything - it's just a big bold statement to make his daft supporters think he's going to change anything and as bonseff said a usefulfadein11
- distraction. @gnash - the vetting process could be changed just as easily without the ridiculous ban, if naything the ban will make it harder no?fadein11
- The U.S. already has extremely strict vetting...I was reading that it takes as much as two years to get in and they mostly only let in women and children.yuekit
- So yeah, the idea that there was something broken with the vetting process seems to be something Trump pretty much made up to further his narrative.yuekit
- I believe they felt that the vetting process would take some time to implement and he didn't want all the "bad dudes" to rush in during the transitionGnash
- not saying it was the right thing, just their reasoning.Gnash
- Oh, c'mon, Gnash ... there would be no gap left during your hypothesized "transition."monospaced
- Right but like I said there is already a very strict vetting process, why would it take time to implement?yuekit
- Fact is, they had no problem implementing it immediately the first day he pulled this mindless, fear-mongering stunt. Why would it be different this time?monospaced
- ya, I'm no expert in policy implementation. I defer to those who know how it works. I'd just be guessing.Gnash
- Maybe after 90 days he can tell us 'what the hell is going on'?BonSeff
- As a general rule though, does Trump strike you as someone who looks seriously at the details for policies?yuekit
- It's a mystery to me why anyone would take Trump seriously when he spews bullshit and lies on a nonstop basis.yuekit
- People who standby the current vetting process as secure, cannot guarantee that it even works. Grumbling over change that doesn't affect them possibly.********
- yeah we know you love it omg, we kind of get that, feel free to enforce your point with another simplistic meme/cartoon.fadein11
- Or maybe worries that interrupted service could affect new features of the iPhone 8 or 9.********
- Due to the overbearing need for muslim immigrants. Specifically those from Syria, Iran, Libya, Sudan, Yemen or Somalia.********
- Gotta make that choice, between yr iPhone and your health careyuekit
- It would be nice if healthcare only costed $50-$75 per month with a 2-yr contract instead of $6-8k per year.********
- The travel ban isn't meant to do shit. It's a distraction and something for the stupid Trump supporters to latch onto.kona
- If the current vetting process isn't secure, why implement a temporary, 90-day travel ban? Why would there be an interruption of service the second time around?monospaced
- it just seems that a reconnaissance effort to survey the issue before allowing a viral threat of terrorism to spread seems sensible.********
- I think the new provisions to the travel ban will probably please the corporations, by allowing Apple to hire without interruption of any new features.********
- that makes no sense ... a 90-day, temporary travel ban is not a "reconnaissance effort"monospaced
- And, if there is a "viral threat of terrorism" spreading, how the FUCK is banning travel for 90 days an actual solution?monospaced
- Your note about Apple and corporations is absolute rubbish though, and is irrelevant to the question at hand. Troll hard you dumb motherfucker, troll hard.monospaced
- My original question stands unanswered, even by the house fucktard and alt-right poster boy, omfg, god help his lost ass.monospaced
