I bought some Livesurface stuff, clients like it to see how it could look in real.

i worked for one of the big branding places and it was logos in color, a mini style guide (colors, reversed out and bw logos, different lockups, typeface, any proprietary super graphic that goes along with it as well), and then some applications steering away from stationery. think billboards, vehicles (clients love a mini cooper), signage, maybe a brochure cover, homepage, giftcard, t shirts, hats, lapel pins, etc..., but try to use a few specific to the client's industry. and this was all compiled in a lengthy deck giving background about each design's methodology. no more than 4 were ever shown, usually 3.
- exactly, you have to show all the supplementary as a sell in, not just blurt out "here's a logo"********
- similar to what i said in previous page. yes, think mini style guide.October

Anyone want to post example of that they think are good examples?

Alternatively, you could tattoo them all on your back to show your dedication to the project.
And present these all with a dramatic Hulk Hogan "shirt-tear-off" reveal

show 2 or 3, DO NOT SHOW 6!!! you're asking to be used and abused by this client.

Agency, yes.
Depends on the client or the scale of what we're doing but generally a BW for shape, a couple colour-ways, and then a bunch of mocks of the logo rolled out; on packaging, or vehicles, or billboards, etc.
I still like to present in BW because it's really about the shape of the logo. Can you stamp it in steel? Carve it in stone? That's a strong logo. Colour is integral but shape makes the logo.
