tbf, in light doses (just raw leaf, smoked heavily) it is quite a spiritual, psychically connective high, but... well, it's an odd one. It kind of bids you not to abuse it.
First time I smoked it, I lay in the back yard staring at the stars with every nerve in my body growing roots into the ground and I became actually physically a part of Gaia.
- you always were part of gaia, and you knew this, nice to actually have it demonstrated tho, but it changes nothing.mikotondria3
- Sorry, you are of course right - I meant that 'I felt what it was like on a conscious level'.detritus
- yehyeh, I know mate, it's part of becoming a grown up to go through these demonstrations, but they're not a lifestyle.mikotondria3
- Who said they were?
And yes, they are.detritus

i must be getting old...i've never even heard of this stuff.

I heard that used in moderation it can be a great spiritual high but, like most intoxicants people often don't use it in moderation and have peanut head buddies that film them and then post it on youtube.
It is supposed to be completely harmless as well.

Salvia is basically a time machine, you can be walking through your childhood neighbourhood while at the same time staring at the weave in your sofa.

salvia is the most powerful shit i've ever tried when smoked but there's a tincture that's pretty chill. you just keep it in your bottom lip like chewing tobacco for a while and you're not blown to fucking smithereens.

It's legal here in Colorado. I tried some with my husband recently. He didn't experience much – mostly heaviness – but I had a full on hallucination, my first. I guess it's different for everyone. I quite enjoyed it. I would do it again, but only for a special occasion.

i've done it and i forgot i had smoked it, suddenly my arms started expanding in fractals and everything went pink / tan. i was floating and thought i was dead and was in the afterlife.
basically, my entire experience was me floating along realizing i was dead and how much i must have disappointed everyone in my entire life and thought about everything i'd never done.
then i slowly started seeing the room re-appear and it was just like being stoned after that. except i shook a lot.

I've never done any psychotropic drugs, but I have had strange sensory-expanding experiences since I was a kid. It overwhelming and frightening most the time and I never really figured it out. Anybody ever feel like you're in a moving car, but you're just sitting on your couch?

i wouldn't do those things, iv seen a documentary about it. wouldn't recommend it.
- < probably the strongest recommendation yet to do the stuff.detritus

Am I too late to this thread? I've got 4oz in the closet, but it's kind of a shite ripoff from the last batch. I'm going to try putting it onto some blotter paper so I can concentrate it more... if anyone knows of a good reliable source then post up, it's been pretty hit-or-miss for me.

me and some mates came home last night and did some more of that shit. i filmed my mate doing it. i'll post it up on here later on if i get a chance.
in the mean time, this is my experience on it (i mixed it with DXM and sky diamond):

I've had 2 crazy experiences on it, one was the most intense trip (at Glastonbury 2000) everything around me turned two-dimensional then split in to pixelated cubes and started moving backwards and forwards to Bowie, who was playing behind me. I would do it again for sure...
Oh yeah, never stick salvia in a bong, waste of money. It needs lots of heat to work well.
- re: Bong. Wrong.
Just don't use matches :)detritus - Just from my experience, smoking the same stuff over a few days... David Bowie is also a prerequisite.kingsteven

The native american sweat lodges use the salvia (form of sage i think) and throw it on the fire. it is a long, slow realease that is a total trip. I think these folks are taking the wrong dosages. a little goes a long way...look for a sweat lodge ceremony near Santa Fe New Mexico if you ever get there.
- Salvia divinorum, as talked about here, is traditionally done orally, left as a clump under the tongue for hours.Nairn

apparently it's for 19 year olds who like to make fun of their friends
