I've been sitting here recording music in garageband all night, and somehow, subconsciously, while in drop D, and watching that video at the same time, my fingers conjured up a total Black Rebel Motorcycle Club-esque riff that I'm digging the hell out of. Was it the drugs?

"i guess you people never watch intervention."
Yea, but it is obviously played for dramatic effect. If she didn't know she was being filmed, how did they get those shots of her dancing around like a lunatic? Was that before the intervention or after? Hard to take it seriously when the show itself doesn't.
- they tell the person they are doing documentary on drug abuse. then have an intervention for them and help.CuriousGeorge

I love the look on her sister's face at 8:55 of Part 2
It's that "did you seriously just rip a massive fart on the couch?!" face.

Spot on ukit.
here's a newsflash CG - you can have an intervention without a television show built around it.
It is not the idea of an intervention that is funny, it is the way this show portrays the story. Which in a word is... poorly.
- that is american society, at least she get help.CuriousGeorge

I watch that show quite a bit, this episode was over the top. I actually had to turn it off. So sick and sad.

I also laughed at the beginning of this.
that being said, I attended a funeral about 5 months ago for an old friend of mine from high school; there were varying speculations about how he died: drug usage, cancer relapse... Just a week later, I tune into Intervention like do every now and then and lo and behold, there he was drinking himself to death on TV. It was horrible; this shit is real and the suffering the people do is real too. If it can help to save a life, then keep filming.

did you feel robbed that you didn't get to be part of the intervention?

that stuff is no joke, I went through a very dark time and no one helped me out. I basically had to see that light in the tunnel then come to in the hospital to realize wtf.
But being confronted like that is also a shock to people in that state of denial. You have to be ready to help yourself.

no, I felt robbed because I lost someone who was a genuinely a good guy. Unfortunately he had serious emotional and addiction problems. I hadn't seen him in almost two years, then I attend his funeral, then I see him on TV and he'd transformed into totally different person that I didn't recognize at all due to his alcohol problem. That shit is fucked.

holy cow those cops ripped her

what episode was it?

just want to let everyone here know I'm not trying to piss on their parade. I find a lot of shit funny, but yeah, we all have shit that hits close to home sometime. I knew my friend had some drug problems years ago when I came back from college and he was living a very VIP Vegas lifestyle. I had my own problems too, but I kicked them; obviously he didn't. Hindsight is 20/20. I do wish I could have helped him starting 10 years ago when I saw him starting into the world of drugs and alcohol. Maybe I had that "May he who is without sin cast the first stone" thing going on. It's just tough to realize you were a bystander.

There should be an episode about QBN addicts....
- that wouldn't be pretty. Imagine the drama when they unveil the schizo who is Llyod, hedge, bryce, jazxPoint5
