To share fonts like people share music? I ask because a non-designer friend of mine asked me for basically all my thousands and thousands of fonts i have accumulated over they years. I told him that i didn't feel comfortable giving them ALL to him and it would be like me asking for his entire music library. Although I did not pay for all the fonts, I did pay for a majority.

I should give him a disk with Hobo, Papyrus, Comic Sans, Ribbon, and Impact and say "this is all you will ever use anyway".

^^ that's the big difference - the cost of fonts can be passed on to clients so it is not like he has to pay for them anyway.

... you said u paid for majority of the fonts? hard to believe that. u said u have "thousands" right? so u then had to pay for at least 501 fonts = ~$25,000 average. really? idealists always are quick to idealize everything & everyone but themselves.
