Totally lame. My GF got robbed infront of my apt while on the phone. Dude threatened her wih a gun. Called the cops and they never came (shows how much NYPD cares sometimes). shw bought an iphone the next day and everything we good again.

those kids need a good beating. call the cops. the last thing you need is some lady to get mugged and raped, or someone else to get shot by them, like a family member.
you can't have the inmates running the asylum, doing whatever the fuck they want because they know people won't turn them in.
That's the one good thing about the states, they don't fuck around with sentencing, you do hard time for your crimes.

got jumped on my way home one night.
used to take the bus in and out of the city. was walking home one night in my neighborhood and heard this dude running up behind me and pow, fucker hits me it the back of the head. heads me a few more times and then turns and walks off. i just stood there. he couldn't have been more than 18 years old, and he was walking with a group of 5 or 6 other people who were just laughing and walking down the street. i couldn't do much because i had no idea what they might do if i tried to fight back. i think i asked "what the fuck!" afterward, loudly, even though i knew i wouldn't get an answer.

Definitely call the cops they thugs won't know it was you if they get caught. Chances are you were not the only person they hit.
Did they actually show a weapon or did they just threaten? I'm curious.

i got robbed i had pitty for one of the thiefs cause he had pitty for me when the other one was beating me, plus i stole something growing up so i didn't care what i did miss was my work on the ipod, i didn't even care my tooth was chipped, cause i hit a guy once in the face and chipoped his tooth

when I was 16-18 I was mugged quite a few times, I didn't report them, every time I simply went home packed my piece and went looking for them, lucky for me I never found them. I was a stupid kid who would have given up a good portion of his life for a bit of damaged pride.report it dude.

Got robbed once (for a short while) in London, Surrey Quays... On the way back home from getting some booze in the middle of the night, 7-8 "hoodies" (~18-19 y.o.) cornered me and my friend under a bridge. Didn't have much cash left on us so they initially got about £8 and my debit card with the actual pin (knew I only had ~£100 on it, plus I kept my credit card). So while one of them danced away to the ATM, the others got interested in our language and reason of visiting and so forth and by the time the schmuck got back from the ATM the £8 was back in my pocket, we had reached an understanding that we really couldn't give them our phones (being so far away from our home country and so on) and the runner-boy got was told to say sorry for typing my pin in wrong 3 times so the machine ate my card (f*cker!). Thugs didn't even think to take the bag with £40 worth of rum. Which me and my friend enjoyed fully 10 minutes later. Didn't invite the badboys though. Amateurs.
