Please report this to the police. I know it's scary, I know it's on your doorstep and your sense of security is diminished but if you show these guys weakness they'll be on your ass until you move out.
If the police aren't interested and you're concerned they'll head back, alert your neighbours and tell them of the car. If they see the car around, instruct them to call the police and to take down the registration.

Years ago, it also happened to a friend of mine, robbed with a knife, they took his ID and they told him if he would go to cops, they would come to his home..
he didn't even told his mother about it, and after a week or two he told it and they went to cops and made a report. the robbers where already busted for another robbing orso..

I nearly got my iPod nicked just round the corner from my flat, some turkish guys came over said something then hugged me, I was pretty drunk so I thought they were asking for fags but then one started hugging me and then I realised he was trying to slide my ipod out of my pocket.
Just pushed him away and ran off, its like being robbed in the gayest way possible.But same thing happened to someone else I know the other side of london, like hugged and then missing his wallet.
Smarter way to rob people than threats I think.

A) You did the right thing. You're alive, in one piece. You didn't do anythgin stupid. No matter what you successfully survived an encounter with a bad guy. Take some points for that.
B) You reported it. Good as well. These sounded like two kids and were probably just as freaked as you were.I always keep this in mind: Is there anything you carry with you that you'd be willing to give up two or three years of your life for? Get over it, you got lucky. My girl friend got mugged once, but these fucker where professionals. when she got mugged she was smacked to the ground by two large men, they then emptied her hand bag and took her wallet and keys. She went back home after the attack to find her house had been burgled, and as she was ringing the Police to inform them of the house brake in she watch her car drive away.
It turn out that the men who mugged her where watching people coming out of there house, following them on there journey to work. Mugging them, then back tracking and braking into there house, as they are just getting there head around being mugged and there house being broken into, they take there car. Fuckers

glad to hear you are safe! A friend was robbed once by someone selling him a cheap ipod just a block off Michigan ave in chicago. Got punched and pushed down and lost 100$. Glad u did not lose iPhone- just got mine and first time posting from it. Love it!
