look what happens when the uninformed get a national forum.

yes people get shitty tattoos, but there are people who take it seriously. where is that side represented in this article?

I think he's just pissed because he finally looked in the mirror and said to himself, "much like the permanence of a tattoo, I fear I will forever be a douche with a bad haircut and knockoff Harry Potter glasses."

whatevzzzzz lol.
I'll type like that until I die for sure.

I hardly read the article, so when at the end he said "laser tomorrow" I was thinking he meant destroy it with ray guns.

That guy is a fucking douche.

This is an op-ed piece, which means that it doesn't have to be objective or representative of more than one viewpoint. Another op-ed piece could represent the opposite view. Surely this is not difficult to understand.

I'm going to get the raddest tattoo ever.

Ironic how it's his generation that created the national debt and is known for really, really bad taste...

so many women around the pool last week on my hols were attractive, and then they turn around and they have some rubbish tribal thing on the small of their back... don't gild da lillie!

I'm going to get a tattoo of Richard Cohen's face.

loosely directed @ dog_opus:
I don't understand the point of an op-ed piece by someone who has not taken the time to explore both sides of the issue. He can agree with whatever side he wants, but this guy is generalizing about everyone in the world who has a tattoo and leaving out the people who take the craft seriously. I don't believe he should get a national forum for his ignorant, unenlightened opinion. Shame on a national media outlet such as the Washington Post for allowing it.
- Llyod0
he should get a tattoo of a butt on his butt
- jevad0
He is generalizing - mostly about fashionistas who get tattoos because it is all the rage. If he ever watched Miami Ink, he would know that some people get tattoos to remind them of loved and lost ones, or to permanently remind them of an important stage of their life.
That was one of the most horribly written and researched pieces of journalism I have ever read.
