This was really nice. I've got my mom in town right now and reading this kind of makes me realize I shouldn't be so picky about things she says or does. She speaks in all these platitudes like I'm still 10 years old, and it rubs me the wrong way because it's too easy to be the rebellious son who constantly wishes I was treated like I'm 32 - like an adult who doesn't need to be asked dozens of questions about my apartment, or how I fold towels, or to be reminded so many times while I was driving today to "look out" for someone who was walking across the cross walk. But I know some day that won't be there, and I know I'll always miss it. We're never really adults to our parents. :)

Truly lovely. Just got an email the other day about the book release. Think I might order it.
