From my experience, the really bad thing I have to mention is how some americans don't understand that people from other countries can speak an average english, without being totally dumb.

From my experience I'd have to say that if you live in England, and you work in a bar or a restaurant, serving people food and drink that they pay for, and you don't like doing it..
get another fucking job before I walk in an optimistically expect at least passing courtesy in return for my hard-earned money that pays your wages.
Fucking lumbering shit-headed bitches.
Give me the fucking coffee NOW
COFFEE - NOW!!!Man, it nearly turned into a Justice video in that place.
- if you tried to understand why and showed respect for the other people maybe you could have been better treated.ESKEMA

europeans hate americans because they don't give a shit about the world, only their glorious and proud nation. they don't understand the ridiculous impact that their country has pretty much on everything outside of it, or if they do, they get arrogant and say we do it because we can. I don't have problems with americans, only with their politics. Once they open their eyes and realise that every other country is one different nation that their own and respect those differences instead of trying to implement theirs. the world will be a much better place
- Fuck national identities.
Decency and principles are they only thing that matters. Cultural relativism is bullshit.mikotondria3

I like all Europeans I've ever met.
I once got into a contest with a Swede who was able to write down all the United States faster than I could. I told him he won because I spend my time making the word "California" look really cool.

I think it varies from one country to another...one finds more affection (or at least tolerance) for the U.S. in places like Ireland, Scandinavia and Poland. It's all the other countries in the middle that are the Barney Rubble.*
*No, I'm not from East Lunnon.

let me ask back, dear americans: Ahy are your teeth so perfect white and big? why do you allways talk so loud? why can't you be a bit more critic to yourself and what u are doing? why do you use so much ressources like gasoline or energy? why do you have 424432 different sorts of white, soft bread? why do you love your flag so much? why did u vote for GWB? ..and what about that yellow water you call "Beer Light?!"
- just curious :D

I think I'm the opposite of mikotondria.
I hated American service. It's 100% false, and I why should expect good service from a fast-food chain? Poeple don't work those kinds of jobs because it makes them happy to see you. As long they're not calling YOU a retard while they're serving you I could care less.Anyway - it serves you right for eating in those places in the first place. They are shit. They sell shit, you eat their shit. You get everything you deserve.

I defended Americans in a gazillion conversations with people who never went there. The problem often lies in the expectation of them being like Europeans.
If you go to China, cultural differences don't surprise you, they're what you go there for in the first place. In the US you expect the culture to be European-like. Wrong. Despite coming from Europe in large part, they're different. It's a different culture on another hemisphere, that's how you need to approach them.Americans seem somewhat mass-produced*. They can be both lazy and meticulous at work at the same time. Usually way much brighter than they're seen, they just focus on different areas/values. They read more books than a lot of Europeans and are trained to have their lifes organized.
A good example of the latter are the perfect teeth most of them seem to have. I knew some laid-back Americans living in Europe, their places were always tidy, no matter how hard they tried. Tidier than German expats' places.

Another thing noticed by someone on a photo forum - they're more likely to read manuals thoroughly, resulting in "dumb Americans" knowing they cameras much better than Europeans who take manuals as insults to their intelligence.
Not sure if that's true.. any Americans here actually studying manuals?
