i like most americans ive met, theres been a few american surfers ive met on my surfing travels that have pissed me off big time. they talk down to you in a condescending way as if your just insignificant..
i have a friends from the states whove lived here in ireland for over 4 years now and their own perceptions of their own country has changed massively. theyve said to me they cant believe how ignorant, dumb, fat, loud and OBNOXIOUS people from their own country are!
if all americans spent a little time in other countries theyd understand why so many people hate them..

I've never been there, but all the americans i know are really cool people. To be honest my will of going deep on knowing America started after 9/11 when a lot of people in Italy stupidly justified that act saying " you see what happens when you mess with the wrong people, next time they'll learn" I found this judgement so superficial that i was somehow urged to find more about them.
And, until now, what i found is that is quite impossible to have a clear and unifying vision of them.Oh yeah, and they're fucking loud, even louder than us italian abroad.

lived in chicago for 3 years and apart from the daft 'oh, you got an english accent, you sound like the Beatles!' and 'Tony Blair is a nice guy' there is absolutely no difference. people are people, where ever in the world you go.

I clearly know that the lot on this video do not represent all of Americans (they clearly edited out the correct answers). But some of us Europeans do think, at times, that Americans may be like this. I am sure we have a fair share of our 'clueless' Brits too.
However, as friendly, open people - I like Americans and their general positive attitude.
The government however - they are just a bunch of...*******
